Extras: The extras kind of sucked balls on both versions, the best of the batch being the 13:42 minute long Behind the Scenes feature. As far as BTS fun was concerned, this was a minimal effort using some montage of photoshoots and clips of the cast but Jamal Johnson really did little to get anything worthwhile and I can see why some fans (and critics) are suggesting the company is missing the boat when it comes to extras (though seeing lots of Selena Rose was pretty cool here and the humor was cute). There was also a slide show (with a photogallery on the SD version) and some trailers.

Audio/Video Quality: Cheater was presented in 1.78:1 widescreen using a 1080p resolution with the high definition AVC encoding as shot by director Robby D. for Digital Playground in Blu-ray while the 480 resolution, MPEG-2 coded SD version seemed a bit pale by comparison. The results here were mixed though, some editing slips and camera deployment issues subtracting points from some of the better scenes. In any case, the SD version of the movie had some compression artifacts and what appeared to be edge enhancement, but this one upgraded the visual elements really well, the efforts of the company to show the world why they are the leader in Blu-ray porn. The video bitrate varied significantly but when I spot checked it, the numbers typically kept around the 17.1 Mbps mark in 1080p resolution (lots better than the SD version which seemed to hover around the 6.4 Mbps mark), often going higher or somewhat lower for those who care but the editing by Keyser Foze struck me as occasionally rushed. The audio was presented in a post-production added 5.1 Dolby Digital English with a 48 kHz sampling rate and 448 Kbps bitrate, none of the vocals showing any separation.

Body of Review: Robby D. has been one of the most important discoveries for Digital Playground, the man becoming their primary director for years now. Left to his own devices, Robby favors gonzo over the fast forward fodder of features, his duties requiring him to suck it up at times to provide the couples oriented fans out there something to chew on too. The latest release of his sent me is called Cheater (SD & Blu-ray), the advertised highlight of the movie in either format being Selena Rose (formerly known as "Sasha Bleu") in her first feature. In terms of the sexual trysts though, curvy Alexis Texas was the headliner here, the bodacious babe sexually interacting with Tommy Gunn and Scott Nails in her two scenes, a variety of others such as Charley Chase and Cali Lakai meriting a nod as well. If you're looking for a short story about interoffice romance, you might just be happy with this one, especially given the visual upgrade shown in the high definition Blu-ray version. The extras were again minimal and the sexual exploits here were decidedly built for the couples crowd but it merited a rating of light Recommended if you are into the cast of ladies working here, Alexis standing out as the sexual lead thanks to her ongoing role. In short then, Cheater (SD & Blu-ray) might not boost Selena Rose into the stratosphere of Jesse Jane anytime soon but as a smaller vehicle to introduce her in her first feature role (third scene for the company too), I can see why some company supporters are hailing her as the next big Latina to leave her mark at the company so give it a look and see for yourself what the deal is regarding her.
