Audio/Video Quality: Butts On Display was presented in a fair anamorphic 1.78:1 ratio widescreen as shot by director Bobby Manila for Twistys (now distributed on DVD by Zero Tolerance). The standard definition, MPEG-2 coded release was the latest production compiling scenes from the company website under their distribution deal, the five scenes emphasizing large but shapely asses on parade in various vignettes. A few of them looked as if they were shot using two cameras (Ivan’s touches noted at least once in the older Sara Vandella scene) but all of them were basic, fairly well edited stroke scenes not trying to compete with any of the features on the market. The lighting was often balanced and plentiful but it was inconsistent in terms of the technical merits, coming in as decent but not up to the usual quality provided by Zero Tolerance. The audio was offered in 2.0 Dolby Digital English, the usual 48 kHz sampling rate and 192 Kbps audio bitrate hardly exceptional but allowing the vocals to be heard in most cases above the ambient sounds. The balance of the audio was off at times and did appear to have a few dubs but it was about average overall.

Body of Review: With times changing due to economic pressures, no single revenue stream is enough for most companies to make a successful run, the most popular belief being that internet companies are somehow less in danger than those relying most heavily on physical media like DVDs to survive. Well, director Bobby Manila and Twistys have joined the legion of other internet companies to team up with a disc-centric production company for distribution, Zero Tolerance their chosen partner earlier this year. I’ve seen a little of the resulting product and while I think ZT has better original titles, some of the scenes from Twistys aren’t half bad. My first formal review of this partnership is with Butts On Display, compiling five scenes (and few extras) of scenes shot in recent years of ladies with ample asses engaging in carnal activities via some limited vignettes. The acting was pretty bad in most cases and while some scenes were reported to have two cameras, there was precious little proof of that much of the time. Still, with headliner names like Alexis Texas, Phoenix Marie, and Sara Sloane (when she was called Sarah Vandella), it struck me as a decent bet for some strokeworthy scenes. Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Carmella Bing, a thick brunette wearing a white top she was falling out of and some blue jeans (that showed her whale tail when she bent over), was up first as she jumped in the car of Jack Lawrence. Summary: Butts On Display by director Bobby Manila for Twistys showed some promise but too many corners were apparently cut both in front of and behind the camera to make this a must have collection of scenes. Most people would be better off exploring the company website for a month, the amount of fuck for the buck there significantly better than this particular selection of okay work, giving me the impression that the distribution deal might be more about advertising and exposure to another market than direct revenues so I rated it as a Rent It. In short, Butts On Display did have Alexis Texas, Phoenix Marie, and Sara Sloane in scenes but they have all done far superior work elsewhere, even the completists probably needing to join the company website, get what they want, and move along but give it a look it you aren’t into web based sexual trysts.
