Synopsis

The Big Hit tells an appealing tale of what happens when the trophy girlfriend (Angelina Armani) of a rich guy (Mick Blue) gets bored living the life of luxury. Although Mick has plenty of money to support Angelina at the level to which she is accustomed, she has nothing to do. So, she decides to get a job...and not any job, mind you. She wants to be a professional assassin!

To achieve her objective, Angelina must first gain access to a mobster. She does this by leaning on her friend Danny Mountain (the real-life husband of super-star Eva Angelina). Under pressure from Angelina and his girlfriend Alexis Texas, Danny makes arrangements for Angelina to meet a mobster played by Ben English.

Before Ben will consider Angelina as a hit-man (perhaps I should say "hit woman"), he makes her strip for him. Angelina's fine body and whatever-it-takes attitude impresses Ben who, with the support of his Latina girlfriend Vanessa Leon, decides to give Angelina a shot at becoming a sexy female assassin...if she can get a gun!

Angelina is temporarily befuddled: where can she get a gun? But, she soon remembers that the son of one of her mom's ex-boyfriends (Evan Stone) is into weapons. So, she trades sexual favors for a 45 handgun. The plot development--as well as Angelina's and Evan's acting--during this act is extremely funny and well done!

Once Angelina has her gun in hand, mobster Ben's girlfriend Vanessa gives Angelina an assignment. So, after Angelina trails and seduces her prey (Jerry), she fucks him into submission and then dispatches him to hell with her 45.

Angelina's newfound job gives her a huge sense of empowerment. So, after returning home to Mick after her first "big hit," she is more than ready to give him the romp of his life.

The Big Hit was directed by one of my favorite directors, Robby D. I've traced his career since his early Action Sports Sex series, have written tens of thousands of words reviewing dozens of his movies, and have both nominated and voted for him for the X-Rated Critic's Organization (XRCO) best director award. That said, The Big Hit is not, by any definition, one of Robby's best releases. In fact, even though its plot is appealing and the acting is top-notch, the movie is below Robby's standards for three reasons:

1. People should never be purple, gray, or yellow. If somebody's that color, that person is sick! Yet, the performers in four of The Big Hit's six scenes are the wrong color. There's a very straightforward relationship between the lighting in a setting and a modern videocamera. Simply hold up a white card, point the camera to it, and click the White Balance button on the camera. This adjustment makes sure that things--including people--are the correct color. Why could such a blunder occur? Three things come to mind: 1) the videographer doesn't know about white balance. That would make the cameraman ignorant. Robby D. is certainly not ignorant because he has shot stunning video in the past. Second, the cameraman could have forgotten to set the white balance. That would make him incompetent...and Robby's not incompetent. Third, the off-color lighting could have been intentional...and that would mean the cameraman is not an artist or purposefully wished to denigrate the appearance of the cast. Is that the case in The Big Hit?
2. Three of the scenes are way too short...so short that almost no chemistry develops between the performers. One scene is about seven minutes long and two others are about ten minutes each. If I was finished with sex in seven minutes, my wife would cut off my balls! The result is a rapid-fire approach to sex in which a blink could cause you to miss a blowjob or a position! These scenes make a wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am fuck seem like a luxurious and meaningful relationship.
3. The Big Hit was the first movie Digital Playground shot of its stunning new contract star Angelina Armani (this fact is fully explored in the Behind-the-Scenes featurette). You'd think that the studio would want Angelina to shine in her first movie. But, that's not the case. In fact, all three of the super-short scenes I mentioned above feature Angelina. Although her acting skills are nicely portrayed during plot development, her sexual skills are not remotely explored. Why? In fact, only in Scene Six, with Mick Blue, does any inkling of Angelina's passion surface. And, it's a fair question to ask why the hands-down best scene in The Big Hit features a non-contract girl, the amazing Alexis Texas. Frankly, I genuinely looked forward to this movie so I could report that Digital Playground's new contract girl is "a big hit." Sadly, through no fault of her own, I cannot yet recommend that you feast your eyes on gorgeous Angelina.

Bottom line? The Big Hit features a very nice story that's well acted (especially Evan Stone's performance); very cute and attractive girls; one "A" sex scene (Alexis Texas); two "B" scenes (Angelina Armani in Scene Six and Emy Reyes); one "C" scene (Vanessa Leon); and two that aren't worth your time.

The DVD-9 disc that I reviewed contains a full-motion chapter selector, multiple chapters per scene, a four-minute slide show accompanied by music, a manually controlled photo gallery (same images as the slide show), trailers for eight Digital Playground releases, and an 11-minute behind-the-scenes featurette (BTS). The BTS primarily highlights Digital Playground's new girl Angelina Armani (but also devotes some time to Vanessa Leon) and includes impromptu interviews, a behind-the-camera look at the taping of the movie, some sexy striptease footage, close-up video of Angelina's fine tits and pussy, off-camera tomfoolery, hot footage of Angelina "fluffing" Evan Stone to help him get it up, bloopers, and still photo shoot video. This selection of Extras is slightly below average in today's marketplace.

Final Thoughts

The best things about The Big Hit include:

• Evan Stone's acting in Scene Three. As always, he's hilarious.
• Angelina Armani's acting skills. She does a very nice job of delivering her lines in a truly believable and polished way.
• Alexis Texas, her magnificent ass, and her terrific coupling with Danny Mountain in Scene One.
• the story itself. Although not overly involved, the plot is interesting and nicely ties together the six sex scenes.

The Big Hit could have been better if:

• the camera had been properly white balanced (see the synopsis above)
• Angelina Armani's scenes had been long enough to let her passion show through (see the synopsis above).
• the editing in Scene Two had not caused a loss of continuity.

Things I didn't like about The Big Hit include:

• the lack of cunnilingus in Scenes Two and Four. I simply cannot understand why some porn studs bypass the opportunity to eat pussy.
• girls spitting out cum in Scenes Two and Three. I, along with several other critics with whom I've discussed the practice, think that it's very disrespectful for a girl to take a man's semen into her mouth and then spit it out. If a girl doesn't like to swallow, she should have the guy pop on her tits, ass, belly, foot, or elsewhere. Girls: my advice is, "Don't take it in your mouth if you're not going to swallow it!"
