Extras: The best extra was the 26 minute long POV tease scene by the lovely Codi Milo. Her great looks and skillful talents at teasing made this one of the best recent extras from a Digital Playground DVD release. I described it in more detail below but essentially, she did not take any meat and spent most of the time coyly playing with Robby as though she were trying to get him excited. Audio/Video Quality: Pulse POV was presented in what appeared to be a 1.85:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen color as originally shot by the talented Robby D. for Digital Playground. The lighting was almost universally solid, greatly limiting most of the grain and video noise during the sex scenes. The amount of shadows was also limited, thanks in large part to the seasoned eye of director Robby but also the others who participated on the project. The composition of the shots enhanced the look of the gals in every case although the limitations of the gonzo format prevented Robby from truly innovating much here. Fans of the recently released Jack's POV will be pleased to note that this is another point of view escapade by Robbie where he once again proves critics wrong in regards to his ability to shoot POV material (and not be part of the action sexually; bearing to note that few directors in porn are capable of doing so successfully without actually participating in the action). The other good news is that the DVD mastering was as good as ever and I didn't see any compression artifacts. The audio was presented in a 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround English where the vocals seemed to actually have some separation a few times. There was limited music this time but I suspect that'll be the source of humor in an upcoming volume of the series given how so many other aspects of modern porn have been poked fun at in earlier volumes of the series. In large part, this being a gonzo release means the audio wasn't a huge concern but the vocals were clearly discernable and added to the heat of the scenes.

Body of Review: Robby D. is the best known contract director for the well known Digital Playground company, having learned the ropes for years at Vivid. Over the years, Robby has tried his hand at a number of styles that fans in the industry want to see, ending up spending most of his time with the gonzo format these days. Well, fans of gonzo know that point of view, or POV for short, is the most popular shooting style of the genre at this writing so it makes sense that Robby would shoot his second such release (the first being Jack's POV) of the sub-genre with Pulse POV, a collection of scenes that follow a distinctively familiar formula of Robby playing like he's the one getting sex from the gals after extensive tease in which he participates. The kicker is that he manages to outdo many popular directors in the field even without his actually bumping uglies with the cast, something his peers have proven relatively unable to do with the same degree of convincing material. That said, here's the breakdown of the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used in any of the scenes and that they were all shot in the POV fashion:

Scene One: Holly Morgan, the hotty on the front DVD cover, was up first as she ate peanut butter out of the jar in her Madonna-lite outfit from the mid 1980's. Her lean body and positive personality shined through as she teased with her all natural body by the counter. Unlike most POV porn, where the director feels the need to get in on the action, Robby only participated during the tease by feeling her up (something he continued throughout the other scenes too). His sexual surrogate, Scott Nails, was the meat puppet this time (thankfully, his arm tattoo gave him away, although the credits listed him at the end of the movie too) for each of the scenes. Another advantage this scene had was that Holly acted like she didn't want him recording her several times as Robby coaxed her into it. This lets the viewer appreciate the scene as something more interesting then the usual scene where the gal seems all too willing to strip and finish off her male partner, probably to move on to her next scene. Holly's ass was sweet to behold, much like the rest of her, and her oral skills were slow and self assured in a manner designed to get a guy hard. The vaginal riding was great too, with her slowly riding him as though she were trying to keep him from popping off too soon (Robby referenced it in the scene too), and the aggressive ride was very pleasing to me. She went for it in several positions before giving up some PTM and a handjob, working out a load that she licked up handily. It was a great scene to start off the show, leaving me ready for more.

Scene Two: Honey, a gal with large breasts and a cute face, was up next in the living room as she posed for polaroids and let Robby feel her up over her green tank top. You could see her nipples through her shirt and after the tease portion of the scene; she laid back on the couch to screw Scott Nails. The last scene ran about a half hour (a very appropriate amount of time folks) and this appeared to be the standard for the show as each gal was given an opportunity to show off all her moves. Fans of hairy pussies will appreciate this gal too but her goose bumps when Robby rubbed her down there were more interesting to me (as though she were new to porn). He had her change into a tight yellow tank top and matching panties (with nice cameltoe) before the oral showed her sultry moves there too. She rubbed his dick on her pussy lips before slowly, ever so slowly, taking him inside her pussy but as she warmed up, she increased the tempo of the action rather well. They did a few positions before he rubbed out a load onto her face that she rubbed in like skin lotion. She wasn't as aggressive as some of the other gals but her overall performance was pretty good nonetheless.

Scene Three: Jasmine Byrne, made up as an incredibly hot maid, was cleaning the staircase at Robby's place with her panties showing as she bent over, in the next scene. If you like watching sultry Latinas tease the camera, she's the best in the business at this writing for the way she can vary her act to suit the mood of the scene. In this scene, she was looking for an advance so she gave meat puppet Scott Nails so extra attention after a wonderfully heated tease sequence and her outfit did not hurt the heat at all (garters and silk stockings always manage to enhance such an act in fact). Aside from some wonderfully puffy pussy lips and a splendid ass, the rest of her was a sight to behold as well and I'm glad others find her so popular too (making her readily available in many movies). The oral was good but not her best work, with the booty rubbing leading to an active anal ride. She also did a technical DP and ended the scene with the largest facial I think I've ever seen from Scott with great gobs of goo covering her pretty face. This scene also had the only reference by Robby to Scott's presence at the end before the gargling and swallowing. Whew!

Scene Four: Alexis Silver, a British gal with large breasts and a tight little body, was up next with Scott Nails after some teasing in the game room. She played pool on a very nice pool table (just like mine in fact) and unleashed her fun bags to an appreciative Robby as he felt her up like nay straight man would do. Large breasts that are all natural are rare these days except on fat gals so she seems like a natural for porn, responding well to Robby's touch. She also had a nice ass but the tease session was definitely skewed to the titty play, and for good reason, with the oral action taking place after that. There was ample handjob action too but she could have done more titty fucking to make it really good. The vaginal penetration was active and she displayed plenty of skill, even doing the usual PTM with care. The sex portion of this scene seemed shorter than usual but after such decent tease it wasn't a huge problem. The scene ended as expected with a moderate load rubbed out to her face with some post coital sucking. In all, it was a decent scene that fans of titty tease will assign extra points to.

Scene Five: Nautica Thorne, wearing a short white skirt, pink sweater, pink kitty shirt and matching panties, was up last as she slowly teased the camera before engaging in sex with Scott Nails on the bed. Fans of tease will appreciate that she took her time and alternated between aggressively overt sexuality and the kind of coy "I'm so innocent" attitude she performs so well at (especially in her glittery catgirl glasses like here). The oral was hot as she used hand to gland action and tongue play to get him going, as he played quietly as Robby's alter ego for the sex one last time. They screwed in several positions and she appeared to get off as she continuously looked in the camera to help facilitate the POV mystique. It ended with the load to her face, with great gobs going on her glasses for her to lick off. In short, it was a solid scene to end with.

Bonus Scene: Codi Milo, a lean and physically appealing gal with lightened hair, was up in the extra footage bonus with 26 minutes of tease in the bedroom. It took place as a private show where she slowly gyrated in her blue jeans and white tank top, acting like Robby was her customer. Fans will appreciate that she changed her underwear several times before eventually pulling out a penis shaped dildo to suck.

Summary: Pulse POV had a lot of fuck for the buck and some of the best extras I've seen in a Digital Playground release since Pirates. The cast was decidedly heavy with gals that possessed large breasts and were talented with the art of the tease, and this double disc set provided a lot of replay value worth checking out. The technical matters were on par with most top end gonzo companies, and fans of POV action will have a lot to appreciate as critics of Robby's gonzo abilities once again have to eat their words. In all, I think such fans will find this to be a title worthy of being Highly Recommended though I think I would've liked better extras and the use of one or more of the company contract stars. In short, Pulse POV was the kind of fans have long wanted from director Robby D.; straightforward, clean and with plenty of the fun factor he instills in all of his better efforts. Give it a shot and I think you'll see what I mean, especially given the extensive use of Jasmine, Nautica, and Holly here.
