Extra's: The extras were okay for such a release. The best one for me was the 10.5-minute long Behind the Scenes feature that gave Nicole and Voodoo a chance to showcase themselves in a frame-rate adjusted series of interviews. There was a slide show and magazine layout (basically another slide show) as well as the usual cast list, some trailers and spam. I would've preferred to see more of the performers given a chance to talk about themselves or had more sexually explicit footage but that's something they can work on for the next volume.

Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color, as most porn is shot these days. While I didn't really get into some of the lighting effects, I think they were pretty interesting and added to the artistic effect that the director was shooting for. The fleshtones were exceptionally accurate and the makeup far better done than normal, facets that stood out in the movie. It looked better than most Hustler releases and I enjoyed it on the visual aspects alone. The audio was presented in the usual 2.0 stereo English but the music was put as a higher priority than the vocals, not my favorite method of dealing with the audio track. The droning nature of porn music is something most of us recognize and only super efforts make such music worth listening to over the vocals.

Body of Review: The Hustler Empire was founded on a single magazine that has since grown to encompass video, many magazines, websites, and even a casino. At the center of the success of the original magazine were the centerfolds that Mr. Flynt used to forward his own brand of hardcore action. The theme back when he started off was showing pink, something other magazines shied away from in hopes of avoiding prosecution by the authorities. The latest Hustler Video release to exploit this concept, Hustler Centerfolds #1, showcased women that have been featured in one or more of the Empire's magazines. The women were a diverse group and well worth checking out. Here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast and action:

Scene One: 12/2001: Nicole, a gal who'd look at home in a mainstream release as a successful businesswomen type, and her husband Voodoo, had a scene in a mechanic setting. He was the greasy monkey and she was the hotty in torn shorts and tank top that drove him wild as she danced for him. Both of them were looking buff here and while the vocals were overridden by the music, I think their chemistry was evident at all times. Each did oral on the other although her blowjob was exceptionally hot and aggressive. She didn't just ride him hard as he plugged away on her pussy but took anal as well. I haven't seen her do a lot of anal lately, figuring she'd gone tame for some reason. In all, the scene was very good and included ATM for fans.

Scene Two: 3/2004 $ 9/2004: Katsumi, an Asian known for her hardcore scenes at several gonzo companies, took care of both John and Chris as she posed in a bathing suit in a small diner. Initially taking them on orally, she then had then filling both her ass and her pussy with the eventual DP (double penetration) although she seemed very at home with the anal sex as she rode them like they were barely inside her. She did some post ejaculating sucking in another well done scene.

Scene Three: 8/2004, 12/2004, 4/2004, and 9/2004: Jessica, a gal that's been in and out of porn more than almost anyone else, and the lovely blonde Tanya, had a lesbian scene together in a weird white room with pink polka dots. Tanya was slightly rough on her partner as she jammed fingers inside her as well as a big dildo but Jessica had some fun using a black strap on dildo to get her revenge. It wasn't the worst lesbian outing I've seen but the gals weren't at their best either, no matter how vocal they got. Licking and sticking were the key elements here and it was okay to watch.

Scene Four: 6/2003, 3/2004, and 11/2003: Alexis, a sultry bleached blonde wearing a fetish outfit that consisted of knee-high vinyl boots, a fishnet top, and leather short shorts and a collar, pranced around before getting to work with Anthony. She gave him a solid hummer and the two used drool between each other as a method of lubricating. He spent almost no time on her and she rode him hard nonetheless. In terms of pure energy, if not chemistry, she approached Nicole's scene but never quite topped the performance of the more established starlet ended when he jerked his load into her mouth and onto her face, much like other scenes here.

Scene Five: XXX Magazine Volume 16: Sue, a very attractive blonde that I haven't seen nearly enough of, and Brett, had a scene in a futuristic scene that employed strobes, and a stark setting for effect. There was some oral but the emphasis was on the screwing, which took place in several positions. It ended with a facial and I hope to see more of her on camera, even if I think she's too lean for my tastes. She was super nice in January and I imagine a lot of producers would like to employ her talents these days.

Summary: I had some fun watching this one. The women weren't all perfect looking but they did embody the spirit of Hustler in a way that only a longtime fan would truly understand. I'm going to rate this one as Recommended due to the technical values, the cast and the general level of energy and chemistry. If future volumes improve on the extras a bit, I can easily see this series earning even higher ratings. Check it out if you want to see some attractive women in compromising positions.
