The Movie:

Otto Bauer plays a shrink to Mika Tan's crazy patient who spills her guts to him about her sexual escapades and her personality quirks. Directed by Loraine Sisco, it's a steamy and sexy piece of work with some nice creative flourishes and a nice cast of attractive and somewhat daring female performers.

Scene 1 – Kaiya Lynn And Nikki Benz: Kaiya has Nikki handcuffed to a bar in a jail cell, blindfolded. Kaiya rubs her up and they tongue kiss, then Kaiya goes down on her and laps away at her shaved pussy. The handcuffs come off and then Nikki goes down on Kaiya for a bit, as Kaiya enjoys a cigarette, using her hands on her as well as her tongue and mouth. The between scene banter between Bauer and Tan adds an interesting psychological element to the hot boffing and Chris Hall's photography captures all of the action in very fine detail.

The DVD

Video:

Facade lands on DVD in a decent (but sadly non-anamorphic) widescreen transfer matted at roughly 1.85.1. There are some mild compression artifacts in the blacks but aside from that this is a fairly colorful picture with a decent level of both foreground and background detail. The picture is clean from start to finish and the skin tones look quite nice here.

Sound:

The Dolby Digital 2.0 sound mix is perfectly sufficient and noticeably better than your average porn movie. The instrumental score mixes in with the action nicely and it makes for an experience that borders on the surreal. Everyone who speaks can be hard cleanly and clearly and there aren't any problems with hiss or distortion on this set at all.

Extras:

Aside from some nifty animated menus and the requisite scene selection option, Ninn Worx provides an extensive gallery of hardcore and glamour shots of the ladies who star in the production and an eighteen minute behind the scenes documentary. The documentary shows the ladies dealing with wardrobe, and we get a chance to see Ms. Sisco giving some direction to the performers. Mike Tan sits down for a brief interview, as does Jenaveve Jolie who plugs her website and talks about nuclear bombs. There's some hardcore footage mixed in here alongside the BTS footage, and it's interesting to see the girls hanging out in a more relaxed environment than the one that we see in the feature itself.

Final Thoughts:

Loraine Sisco titles her projects 'visions' (in the same way that Spike Lee calls them 'joints') and that's a fairly apt way of describing her work. She's a creative director with a great sense of style and a knack for creating some hot and unique sex scenes with well cast performers. The transfer should have been anamorphic and more extras would have been nice but aside from that, Façade is an excellent release that comes highly recommended.
