Extras: The second disc was devoted to extras only, the first being a 28:05 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by Barrett Blade. The cast and crew spent some time describing their roles, clips of the movie included as they were being shot. There was then a 38:23 minute long series of cast interviews, 4:47 minutes of Bloopers, a 28:01 minute long Casting Call feature showing some of the interviews leading to roles (or failure for those that didn't make the cut), a 2:32 minute feature asking the question "Did you watch Home Improvement"? for some of the cast, a 6:51 minute long tease session by sexy Alexis Ford, a 7:28 minute long “Magic of the Green Screen” feature, the internet trailer, trailers, spam, and a bonus scene from The Contractorbetween Carmen Luvana, Austyn Moore, and Evan Stone described below in detail, lasting 21:12 minutes. Even the fold out box with lots of pictures and a pecker checker ruler added to the fun of the release. I thought this was a great set of extras, just wishing all of it was related to the actual movie, but still meriting a big nod.

Audio/Video Quality: Home Improvement XXX A Parody was presented in 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director David Lord for Adam & Eve using the MPEG-2 codec for this standard definition release. With the infamous Ren Savant as the Director of Photography and Shadow Bradley as the editor, I had the impression the production was a bigger budget feature compared to some of the parodies tossed out all too often by competitors (even Eric Masterson once more pitching in as AD). The lighting was solid in most cases with accurate flesh tones, decent makeup, and a relative lack of shadows but on the sex scenes, the skin tones took on a decidedly weird tone, typically orange, that was too saturated. The editing offered a nice selection of camera angles and fluid transitions with the grain as limited as the video noise. Some of the performances could have been improved but as far as the technical aspects were concerned, there really wasn't a lot to complain about, the video bitrate hovering around the 6.7 Mbps mark when spot checked. The audio was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital English, the 224 Kbps audio bitrate using a standard 48 kHz sampling rate as expected, the vocals always easily heard (sometimes, too easy for the situation). There appeared to be some limited looping at times and the music by Coach working well to instill memories of the original show, the laugh track working better than most cases in such parodies.

Body of Review: David Lord has been in porn for a very long time, helping usher in a new age of extras back when he was the go-to person at one of the biggest production companies around. Now that he is directing for Adam & Eve, his sense of wit and technical wizardry have been knocking them out of the park in the parody craze, his latest release called Home Improvement XXX A Parody. The original show starred Tim Allen as a television host for a show called “Tool Time”, a show about fixing up your house, but the majority of humor came from situations related to his family life, most of it pretty bland but perfectly suited for primetime network airing. Well, David has taken the premise and with the help of writer DCypher, has crafted another fuck flick to be reckoned with at awards time, surpassing scores of parodies produced elsewhere in terms of sexuality, closeness to the original show, and all sorts of aspects others don’t even try to emulate. Starring Anthony Rosano in another solid acting job, Alexis Ford as the hotty tool girl, and Jay Ashley as the show carpenter, I knew very early into watching this one that I was going to appreciate it a whole lot.

The director described the movie like this: “In this Parody ,Now that the kids have gone off to college it seems that Jim and Jillian's marriage is on the rocks. They just can't seem to connect anymore, no more how kinky they've gotten, and Jim has taken to fantasizing about the Tool Helper girl on his popular Home Improvement television show, Alexis Ford. Jim's helpful neighbor Milson advises Jim to tell Jillian what he really wants while Jillian's best friend from high school Karen advises Jillian to do whatever Jim asks to save her marriage. When Jim tells Jillian he wants a threeway she suggests Alexis. They rush off for a night of wild sex leaving the kids to their own dirty devices. See all your favorite characters, from Sal to Jim to Milson to the Tool Helper girl, having the kind of nasty, freaky sex you always imagined they were.” Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Charisma Cappelli, wearing a red shirt and black pants, was up first as she took a few lessons from Jay Ashley, her perky tits and lusciously curved figure begging to be boned. She took off her top and dropped to her knees to throat the guy, her oral skills as well developed as ever, the gal elevating the quality of the scene by maintaining eye contact. It was a messy hummer and the cameras caught it from various points of view, her devotion to exciting him promising in regard to the rest of the scene. He then snacked on her crack for a moment in a comfy chair, paying far less time than I would have but lubing her up for some active vaginal penetrative positions all the same. She impaled herself on his pecker and did some taste testing at times, Jay beating out a round of genetic juice to her face as a reward for a job well done, the chemistry filled scene a great start to the movie.

The Extras

Scene Two: Alexis Ford, the blond bombshell contract gal on the front cover, talented actress Syren De Mer (who was definitely an unsung force in the movie), and Anthony Rosano, were up first on the set of the show. Alexis freshened up to wear a black bra and tight pink booty shorts, her fishnet stockings enhancing the look even more. Syren had a sheer blue slip on her skimpy bikini undies and the ladies started making out with a series of kisses. The erotic nature of the tryst was then broken up a bit by Anthony comically trying to jump in, the ladies lost on each other at first. Syren led the scene in terms of sexual aggressiveness and ability but Alexis was a fresh treat for the eyes, the cougar going down on her as Anthony ate her in doggy style before he took turns boning them. The ladies were both active vaginal riders by Syren gave extra of herself, pumping her hips down on his pecker to really seal the deal for me. The chemistry evident here also helped elevate the quality of the scene, the enthusiasm just the icing on the cake. The ladies did give him some head and the scene ended when he rubbed out a nut of population pudding to Syren’s crotch for Alexis to lick up, Anthony going down on Syren one last time.

Scene Three: India Summer, an attractive brunette with a smokingly hot lean body, was up next on the couch with moper Danny Wylde. She seduced him and started pawing his package, his hands then freely roaming around her ass until she began slobbing his knob actively. Her demeanor gave me the impression that she actually liked him, his sexual role bigger than the story driven material this time, the gal really working him hard. To his credit, he seems to be slowly moving up the porn pantheon where he is now in the third tier of mopes, perhaps someday making it to second tier status. His oral on her was better than Jay’s and while not even close to her skill level, enough to make the scene believable as she impaled herself vaginally on his cock. India was an active rider just as she was with the oral, her neatly trimmed pubes looking as inviting as ever. When the time came, he unleashed a huge stream of spunk along her entire torso, her delight evident.

Scene Four: Brynn Tyler, a fetching young hotty with long blond hair, was up next as she climbed through the window to hook up with Seth Gamble in his bedroom. Her dress showed a lot of cleavage and came off easily, his hands finding her breasts very quickly. The lime green dress covered some black speedos too, the gal leaving them on as she playfully inhaled his meat pipe using some hand to gland action. He gave her some timely advice and it turned her on, the comedic aspects not lost as she gave him a glory hole hummer. By focusing on using her mouth alone, she gave it additional erotic appeal, my one criticism being the abrupt edit to where she was actively riding him after the devoted hummer took place. Granted, I would have torn down the fence to pork the pussy if given the chance but it just seemed like a missed opportunity to add some laughs without minimizing the sexy nature of the parody (the hummer itself showing it possible). In any case, she loudly yelled too much during the vaginal positions but her youthful exuberance seemed more natural for her than others, the unloading of the semen to her mouth as she gazed up at him a very nice touch.

Bonus Scene: The Contractor: Carmen Luvana, the lead contract gal of the movie as seen on the middle of the front DVD cover wearing the camouflaged top, cute Austyn Moore, and the mighty Evan Stone, were all up in the final scene where he played a hard ass building inspector (in contrast to his usual over the top, though funny, clown act) making his final rounds on the building. Carmen tried to bribe him into approving the work the gals had done but he was straight-laced about it and acted like she'd be in trouble. Thankfully, he reverted to form and started going down on her more energetically than any of the others had with Carmen doing the same on his rod. She was no stranger to a cock in her mouth and could've taught all of the others a few lessons from the looks of it, at which time Austyn joined them. After some more oral, he screwed both of them (using a condom) with Austyn and he showing even more chemistry than they did when working together in Pirates. Carmen then put on a strap on dildo but didn't use it as much as she could have as Evan was plenty of man for the both of them. It was a pretty decent scene in most ways for an Adam & Eve movie.

Summary: Home Improvement XXX A Parody by director David Lord for Adam & Eve reminded me that the director has long been able to weave a solid tribute-styled feature without limiting the sexual heat, so many of his peers able to handle one or the other but not both at the same time. As such, this was his second major winner in a row to assemble a solid cast of people both in front of and behind the camera to showcase a popular television show from the past, the stroke value and replayability enough to merit a rating of Highly Recommended or better depending on how much you enjoyed the original. In short, Home Improvement XXX A Parody had good acting by most of the crew, a wisely selected cast (watching the bonus casting call showed several that might have greatly weakened the appeal), and the balance of story to sex that made this stand out from the pack of post-award parodies for the year. The double disc set also included great extras and it is clear to see why David is being hailed as a potential parody king thanks to the times when he is given the budget to work his magic so check it out.
