Sam No once again directs this fifth entry in the Battle Of The Asses series from Elegant Angel, a studio that’s been doing some great work lately from the cover art of their DVD releases to their selection of talent to the production values and locations used in their features. Seriously, look at that cover art – you’ve got dueling blondes with booties ready for take on all challengers. If the site of Alexis Ford and Anikka Albrite isn’t enough to wet your whistle, this disc also features the lovely and talented Karlie Montana, beautiful Nikki Delano and the always appealing Sheena Shaw. This entry in their ever expanding catalogue continues that trend of intriguingly minimalist cover art and nice production values that cater to the ass aficionado. The disc is made up of five scenes, it’s a fairly standard all sex release so there are no plot points of themes or characters to discuss so let’s get straight down to what you’re reading this review for in the first place, shall we?

Scene One – Alexis Ford and Erik Everhard: Goodness gracious me but doesn’t Ms. Ford look lovely prancing around an inviting looking pool clad in the slinkiest bikini you can imagine. Scene Five – Anikka Albrite and Mick Blue: Last but not least, our second cover girl and blonde inclusion to the cast gets her time in the spotlight. Battle Of The Asses 5 is a shot on digital video production which looks pretty clean presented here in a very strong and stable 1.78.1 anamorphic widescreen transfer. There is some mild shimmer in a couple of spots but no noticeable mpeg compression evident anywhere. Skin tones look nice and natural, the compositions are dead on (the camera work is very good here), and overall the movie looks great showing very nice detail and color – definitely quite a few notches above your average gonzo/all sex release in terms of production values, lighting, camera angles and cinematography.

Sound:

The Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround track is quite sufficient. The dialogue, of which there is generally only a little bit during the sex scenes and none in the intros, comes through cleanly and clearly as do all of the moans and groans. The background music is fine, levels are nicely balanced, everything sounds clean and clear and all in all the disc sounds very good.

Extras:

Extras are slim but there is a Bonus Scene here with Liza Del Sierra and Michael Stefano that originally appeared on Battle Of The Asses 4. This scene lets gorgeous dark haired Liza strut and primp for the camera with the obligatory tease and then let’s Mr. Stefano back for a second go round as he heads face first into booty canyon barely coming up for air at all. Maybe he was watching that tease scene and got as excited as anyone else watching would, because brother, believe you me when I tell you this lady is built. Battle Of The Asses 5 is a war we all win! Five quality scenes, not a bad one in the bunch, featuring some top tier talent and some very nicely done camera work that shows off the curves that ass fans crave. The extras are okay and the quality of the audio and video presentation is also quite strong – but as we all know, content is king and on that level this disc delivers. Highly recommended.
