THE SEX

Strays is one of those releases that seems hard to screw up, yet it somehow manages to do so. The women are beautiful, the situations are sexy, the material is well-shot – yet the movie seems to lack passion and eroticism.

This is an all-sex title, meaning there is no ongoing storyline between one scene and the next, although each one of the segments has the talent in a different situational setting. First up is blonde Summer Sweet and Tyce Bune at a construction site (obviously an indoor stage). But while the scene looks good visually, the actors are really just going through the motions here, with little chemistry between them.

Scene Two provides a little more interest...but not much...as Stephanie Tripp is in jail and is seduced by cop Anthony Hardwood. After some missionary, doggy and cowgirl, Anthony jerks off onto Stephanie's tongue and inside her mouth – but sadly she seems to spit most of it back out again while she's finishing licking off Anthony's cock.

Sitting on a bench in front of a somewhat ironic "Slippery When Wet" sign, Tyler Faith and Talon (who is actor T.T. Boy's real-life younger brother) have a so-so pairing that includes reverse cowgirl, doggy and missionary. Breasts fans will enjoy the conclusion to the action, as Talon first comes close to climax by rubbing his dick in between Tyler's cleavage, then jerking off onto her tits.

The next to last scene could have been the best – but thanks to improper balance in the audio, it came off as another ho-hum segment. Dark-haired Charlie Laine is being brought into her jail cell, where fellow inmates Jenna Haze and Ashton Moore are waiting for her. This leads to a lesbian threesome – one that would have been so much more enjoyable if we could hear what Jenna is saying to Charlie without having to crank the volume way up on our speakers. For those not familiar with Jenna, she's a sizzling-hot brunette (quite possibly the cutest girl currently working in porn) who loves to talk dirty during the action. But by all but muting what Jenna is saying, the producers of this DVD have taken away half of her appeal! And that's more criminal than anything these three starlets could have done to wind up in jail in the first place!

For the viewer at home, the final scene on this disc is pretty much the best – as we get to see a threesome between Cindy Crawford, Cystal Ray and Sean Silver on a bed. There's plenty of lesbian action here too, as the scene opens with Sean watching the women in a 69 position, and – as the scene progresses – each woman takes turns sitting on the other's face or pleasuring them in some other way as Sean is pounding them with his cock.

VIDEO/AUDIO

As noted already in the text above, there's some real problems with the audio in spots – as porn music drowns out the spoken dialogue (and moans and groans) of the talent involved in the scenes. The video is decent, although not fantastic, and a little better than average for an adult DVD release.

In addition to a 7-minute behind the scenes featurette covering the making of this movie, Jill Kelly productions has also included behind the scenes segments for the titles Jenna Haze Stripped and Hunger Within.

Also on the disc are four slide shows – one for this movie, and additional ones for the titles Slut of Sluts, Pretty Dirty Secrets, and Punch Club.

BRIAN'S BOTTOM LINE

Even if you're a big fan of one or more of the actresses in this title, you'll want to rent first and make a purchasing decision later. Strays is a good example of how you can have beautiful women and nice sets and still come away with a lackluster release. It's far from the worst adult DVD I've seen, but it's not one that you're going to remember very long after you've viewed it.
