Audio/Video Quality: Jules Jordan: The Lost Tapes was presented in retro 1.33:1 ratio full frame color the movie was shot in by director Jules Jordan for Jules Jordan Video. These scenes were part of a stolen set of hard drives recovered after a lengthy absence, hence the lack of widescreen that is by far more common now than over the years this material was captured (most of the ladies displayed here left years ago). There was some variation in the lighting that added additional grain but I saw a few other issues as the camera kept an active stance at providing the best angles to showcase the ladies. The editing helped in this endeavor too with a movie as long as this one needing extra care to make sure that there is enough tease but also heated sexual antics, my initial impression being that this was a well rounded romp where virtually all the cast had a lot of fun. The bitrate was typically around the 3.4 Mbps mark, solid enough there were few compression artifacts, the aliasing minimal and given the length of the double disc offering, fans should be very pleased even though the company watermark was highly visible. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English (at 192 Kbps with a 48 kHz sampling rate) offering that really didn't use any separation in terms of the vocals (there was some potential to do so here too). The vocals were easily heard above any ambient sounds in the background and the only music provided was when the sex wasn’t taking place (like during the credits) so that was not a factor in evaluating this portion of the show.

In short, Jules Jordan: The Lost Tapes: Special Edition had footage that would have been right at home in any era of the director’s career, his gonzo empire built on this kind of quality that I’m glad was recovered having been stolen long ago. If you’re looking for some very excellent “new” scenes by a treasure trove of former performers, you have certainly come to the right place, the entire effort proving to be most strokable.
