Extra's: There was a Behind the Scenes feature on the making of the movie, production notes, cast biographies, trailers, photogallery, extra scene, double sided dvd cover, various subtitles and languages.
Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in 1.33:1 ratio full frame color. In most of the scenes, the picture was very sharp and clear but in a few spots, particularly scene 5, the picture was weak. Otherwise, the grain was minimal and colors accurate with no artifacts noticed. The audio was presented with a number of language and subtitles choices but the English track was in Dolby Digital stereo with some separation between the channels. The music score was pretty solid but the vocals seemed to be mixed too heavily to the right speakers.
Body of Review: Those who have never watched a porno from Private Pictures have been missing out on a lot of fun. The company makes a lot of hardcore movies, often features, with a stunning array of gals for our viewing pleasure, combined with high-end production values. I recently reviewed one of their movies in the Private Gold series, Mafia Princess, and thought it was worth recommending so is it any wonder that I'd be tempted to get the latest in the series, Private Eye: Private Gold 60 to review? The movie is a mystery about a private eye that is on a big case involving a supposedly dead woman. His mission is to find out the truth, and get lucky repeatedly, along the path to the answers. Here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast member, noting that no condoms were used:
Scene One: Julia, a hot redhead that always manages to please the eye, and Mick, had sex in his studio style apt. It included oral, straight and anal although she didn't take much of his penis in her backdoor.
Scene Two: Black, a lean brunette with a flawless face, and Zenza, a guy wearing the silliest hairstyle short of a toupee, had sex in a large living room with oral and straight sex being the focal points. There wasn't a facial for those who care. I thought there was some chemistry between the two and their energy was readily apparent.
Scene Three: Alissa, a very lean blonde, took on both Mick and Steve while Bobbi did Frank beside them. Both girls took anal with Alissa accepting a DP. The sex was pretty warm but somewhat mechanical at times, leading me to think the editing was a prime factor (along with the aforementioned dubbing) for why it didn't work as well as it could have. Both gals were very attractive though and that kept the scene from being boring.
Scene Four: Alexa, another lean brunette, took care of Zenza on a desk in his study. This was a short scene that only had oral and straight with a weak pop shot. I didn't get much out of it.
Scene Five: Mandy, the curvy gal with a huge fan following, did Steve by a shipping dock. I didn't like her wig and the fog effect weakened the picture quality more than I liked but the sex wasn't bad at all (just not as good as usual). There was also no anal here so anal fans may be upset by that fact.
Scene Six: Mandy, again wearing the stupid wig, had sex with Mick on a couch. This time, she had anal and while it wasn't her best work, it was worth a look.
Bonus Scene: Niky, wearing some fishnet stockings and looking hot, did Zenza, on a couch in front of a big screen TV. The director commented that it was cut from the movie for two reasons, length of the feature and because it might confuse the audience (Niky had another role). The oral was pretty lively and the straight sex okay but the anal was in slow motion and kind of weak.
Summary: The sex was varied enough to make a lot of people happy, the women were mostly fine, the technical values were generally very solid, and the extras not bad. For all it's merits, I think it's worth a rating of Recommended. The dubbing weakened the sex in too many case and the story at every turn to rate it higher but it wasn't a bad movie.
