Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in 1.33:1 ratio full frame color. Some of the older Vivid compilations have been lacking in terms of picture quality and this one has it's share of problems yet many of the scenes looked pretty solid for a compilation with only minimal grain and color bleeding. The audio was presented in stereo English and while the music was too loud in several cases, the vocals were generally clear this time. Not great but not bad either.

Body of Review: Vivid compilations are legion in number and some of the time, the cover doesn't convey the spirit of the contents. This is true of a great many companies but Vivid is often held to a higher standard because the company has such strong financial backing. In the case of When Vivid Girls Go Anal, the company actually makes it a point to include anal action in every scene-even the bonus scenes had anal. Including the bonus scenes, there were 13 full scenes here with a number of hot babes that have worked for Vivid over the last ten of so years (the scenes go as far back as 1993 I believe). Whether you prefer the lean and lovely Briana, the thicker and curvier Raylene, or even one of the included lesbian anal scenes (I know some of you think that's cheating), there was a lot to like here. Rather than bore you with a "by the numbers" list, just look at the cast list above and decide if any of the gals are what you're looking for-each is in at least one scene.

To answer the inevitable question, yes, condoms were generally used here. The company is willing to forgo profits in order to provide a safer environment for the performers so I can't be too hard on them in this regard. The heat doesn't diminish with their use and the action was often above average for the well known company. If you like anal, and the cast of cuties is plentiful here, this may well be a good choice for you. I'll be the first to admit that the sexual antics aren't the bizarre and extreme stuff you'll find with a number of gonzo companies but these are high-end stars, not the wide eyed newbies who'll do anything for a buck. From my own personal experiences, I'd suggest this one as Recommended but adjust it according to how much you care for the listed stars.
