Body of Review: Back in June of 2002, Jim Holliday set out to make three movies in the desert. I reviewed one of them, Sorority Sex Kittens 6, earlier today and here I am with another of them, Melted Pink. Some of the anecdotes of that little adventure (or misadventure) included Jim breaking his leg, 4 generators breaking down, performers flaking, lighting technicians screwing up, and temperatures that got as high as 115 degrees. Even with all those problems, the show went on.
Okay, the whole idea behind this movie was related to an ice cream stand and surfer girls in the desert. Sound like a Holliday movie? You bet! Don't look for higher meaning here as I think this release got the short end of the stick (SSK 6 was over 2 hours long as are many of Jim's movies) from the dialogue parts to some of the sex scenes that seemed shorter than average (not to mention fewer in number). Even the extras seemed lighter than normal with the Behind the Scenes feature missing (it was probably combined with the other two releases) and I can't help but wonder if Jim's broken foot factored into it all. That said, the movie still had lots to praise (even though Jim hates reviewers, I think his ire is mostly directed at professional reviewers) including good sex, attractive women, and a "vision" to hold it all together in typical Holliday fashion. Here's a breakdown of the scenes which included lots of rimming, anal, and foot fetish stuff:
Scene One: Hunny, in her debut, took on Alex in a very warm scene that included anal. The scene was typical Holliday as it was fun to watch and looked like she had a great time too.
Scene Two: Raylin, a cute little Texan, and Mark had a scene in the desert. It also included anal and while it wasn't as good as the previous scene, it was better sex than most of us real people will ever have.
Scene Three: Tawny, Monica, and Shayla had a scene with Ricky. More anal and it was fun but missing something to make it stand out from the pack.
Scene Four: Hunny, Felecia, and Lexi had a little lesbian lick fest. Lots of pussy and ass licking with several orgasms apiece.
Scene Five: Selena, Petra, and Katie showed Mark a good time. There was a lot of chemistry to go with the energy here and I think other director's might want to take note of the dynamics of the scene.
Scene Six: Tawny, Felecia, and Lexi had another short scene. I figured it ended on a false note and was going to pick back up but I was wrong. Not bad but too short to get off to.
Scene Seven: Hunny and Mark went at it in this last scene. One more time in her ass and it's a shame that she left the industry so quickly. Very hot scene with lots of chemistry.
Summary: This wasn't a bad movie but it wasn't Jim's strongest release with VCA. I liked all the elements in this one as much as I usually do with Holliday's movies but again, it appeared that this one was wrapped up way too quickly. I hope the third movie of the threesome made that fateful summer week, I think it's called Summer Camp Sun Bunnies, will have the missing footage and extras this one didn't get. Like all Holliday fans, I'll be waiting for it with baited breath (pun intended) and hope the sex is as good as it was here but more plentiful. Fans of condoms will be happy to note that they were used here and most of the cast were good enough to make the rest of you forget about them. In total, I suggest this as a recommended movie but I'm a fan so your mileage will vary.
