In a Nutshell - A Cornucopia of Cinematic Styles
With 22 scenes covering over a decade of porn production, Jurassic Pork is a veritable smorgasbord of visual variables. Some of the scenes were shot on film. A few are given a digital drive through the cinematic system. There are some analog video sequences, as well as highly polished pieces of professional poon. As a result, the 1.33:1 full screen image runs the gamut from good to grand. The images and transfers are really never bad, but the divergent styles are like walking through an adult film archeological dig. Also, as you can see by the screenshots included in this review, some of the material is letterboxed. Sadly, it's all non-anamorphic.

First Impressions:
Compilations come in varying degrees of desirability. If you like a certain actress or director, a collection of their best material makes perfect sense. Besides, very few fans watch XXX features for their context, so removing a selection of sequences from same hurts no one. There are also anthologies focusing on specific acts and certain fetishes. Since individuals obsessed by such things are, by their very nature, incapable of getting enough of said situations, four hours of ass eating would make their adult product day. But there are also the unusual omnibus releases that simply celebrate one company's back catalog. With arousal aficionados constantly looking for new nookie to prod their proclivities, digging through your inventory and collecting the cream of your cock and cunt crop in one place seems like a sound business plan. Leave it to Wicked to lead the way. Jurassic Pork, one of several recent corporate carnal overviews, shows that when selected correctly, a single DVD overflowing with 22 smoking scene can be a thing of true balling beauty.
The Sex Scenes:
Instead of going into detail over every installment included as part of this set, The Dirge is going to skim the sexual surface. In general, these are 15 to 20 minute scenes, most involving standard straight sex. There are no outrageous elements, no specific fetish footage, and very little diddling deviation. You will see all the major positions, many significant stars, and lots of red hot horniness. As a matter of fact, the one thing Jurassic Pork proves is that A-list talent typically delivers high quality fuck and suck. Oddly enough, there's no girl/girl action here, and the personal perspective is limited to purely one on one workouts. A couple of scenes are oral only. For some, this will signal the biggest problem with so-called 'straight' features. If there's not nine dicks working on and in a single slag, probing every possible orifice with outrageous abandon, it's glorified Skinemax time. Still, the palpable passion between the performers and the level of filmmaking involved (it's a veritable who's who of classic carnality helmers) makes Jurassic Pork a compilation worth owning. Let's face it - if you're a fan of Wicked and its amazing output, you basically know what you're getting here. If not, there are links to other reviews on the site (when available) to help fill in more of the boner to bush blanks. Overall, while four hours of porn seems like a lot (and should it really take anyone that long to "benefit" from a XXX disc's arousal aid?) the chemistry beneath the performers plus the wealth of wantonness makes the whole experience smooth - if stiff - sailing. Easily earning a Highly Recommended rating, this is the kind of carnality that Pro-Am fans piss and moan over. Gonzo lovers will also lose their log over the highly stylized sex presented. But for fans of straight, sensual shafting (and couples hoping for some non-aggressive good stuff), this DVD definitely delivers. The title may promise yet another in a long line of smut spoofs, but Jurassic Pork is nothing but prime pounding.
