Audio/Video Quality: Timeless was presented in the originally filmed 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as shot by director Jim Holliday for VCA Pictures back in 1996. The picture was always crystal clear, but still relying on a sense of raw energy rather than pure technical expertise, and had a wonderfully diverse cast as seen on the back of the DVD cover. The fleshtones were accurate thanks to the kind of flat lighting Jim used on the movie with no significant amount of grain or video noise to speak of observed during my screening of the flick. This was another rare departure from the fluffy bunny stories that Jim told as his career rose in the ranks of VCA; concentrating on a stalker story rather than just lots of silly snippets of sex and insider jokes though the ending was funny in how it wrapped up the story. It was also one of the first titles not produced by Justin Sterling, this time opting for Patti Rhodes; a fact that probably speaks volumes for changes made at the company. The audio was presented in the usual 2.0 Dolby Digital English but the vocals appeared to be looped in a few cases, the dialogue pretty well handled, and it sounded hollow less frequently than previous efforts by the director. The music was trademark Jim Holliday style as provided by Reno and the Rumrunners, offering the kind of breezy polka styled music they were known for.

Body of Review: Jim Holliday was known for a specific type of movie during his time at VCA Pictures but every now and then, he would deviate and make something special as a showcase piece for one of his Angels (gals he liked to work with). For Shayla LaVeaux, he made Not The Lovin Kind and for Kylie Ireland he made an anal extravaganza known as Timeless; a movie about a debutante porn starlet that didn't want to do anal sex in her movies when it was becoming increasingly commonplace. The story was a parody of a classic Christmas Tale by Dickens (somehow, they seems so appropriate in writing) where Kylie's character is visited by three spirits who try to show her the error of her ways. The box said: "Sultry Kylie Ireland plays a primadonna porn star who won't do an anal scene. Borrowing liberally from Charles Dickens, Jim Holliday introduces three ghosts to convince Kylie that butt-banging is the super chick thing to do on the big blue screen. In the process, we're privy to a whole mess of anal action as only Le Holliday can deliver. The ghosts influence Kylie to the extent that a happy ending is enjoyed by all. If you catch the drift." It was a light and funny tale that fans of the cast will enjoy, sparking a decent departure from the formula Holliday liked so very much, noting that no condoms were present:

Scene One: Winona Winter, a lean little cutie with red hair and a fit figure, was up first with Mark Davis as they tore into one another in a rocky living room; doing oral and then screwing actively before it comes to light that they're on a porn set as it was interrupted by Kylie Ireland arguing with Veronica Hart. There was some slower anal that seemed to stretch her limits and it ended with a face load of semen.

Scene Two: Kylie Ireland, Nikita Ka$h, Raylin, Nellie Pierce, and Mark Davis, were up next in a flashback scene where a bitchy Kylie had the ladies kissing her ass in homage to her status while two of them preferred to suck Mark's cock instead. The partners switched out a few times with the lesbian antics getting priority billing as the rimming, fingering, and foot play carried on while Mark would be hammering away on a revolving cast of ladies (doing oral in his standing 69, screwing their tight boxes, etc.). Kylie was in porn star mode as the recipient most of the time but it was still a lot of fun with decent stroke value. When Mark finally engages Kylie in the scene, with some help from the other ladies of course, it was pure sexual chemistry and magic, even if the DVD started fucking up right after the sex finished (going to the main menu rather than advancing).

Scene Three: Kimberly Jade and Winona Winter, were up next in a lesbian tryst on the couch as they ate and fingered one another. There was as much rimming as ever here and the ladies seemed to like one another a lot, using toys to help get off.

Scene Four: Shayla LaVeaux, looking very much as though she was in her prime, along with Kylie Ireland, who was also very appealing, started a lesbian pairing on another couch with Kylie doing a lot of licking (focusing her efforts on Shayla's toes and asshole) to get her friend off. The ladies had a measure of chemistry that was very high on my list of female pairings from yesteryear, with Shayla returning the oral pleasure when her turn came up. They used a long green dildo and got sweaty together, working each other over slowly in this playful scene that made both ladies look especially good.

Scene Five: Julie Rage, Raylin, and Steve Hatcher, were up next as top porn stars from the past. There was a allusion to the Traci Lords scandal but the trio seemed at home on the leopard print couch with the ladies acting perfectly slutty as they did him and each other. It started with a hummer and moved to full fledged boning with the ladies getting orally serviced too. There was anal sex and a technical DP with the trio seeming to get a little too into their roles. It had a funny ending for the storyline though and fans will enjoy it.

Scene Six: Alex Dane, a very lean brunette with implants not shaped right for her chest, was up next with John Decker in a living room. They did each other orally as expected, him tonguing her ass with a rimjob, before she aggressively inhaled his meat pipe. That led to an active vaginal ride where she really rode him hard; resulting in more anal where he did all of the work pounding her tight butt. The facial finish was the closer and he stroked her body with an ending that showed the world how religious loonies would treat a man's member. Ouch!

Scene Seven: Nico Treasures, Kimberly Jade, Tom Byron, and Ian Daniels, were up next in the following scene where another anti-anal performer acted bitchy about the act. The ladies warmed each other up and Tom took the initial lead but Ian came through (man was his hair long here, at least until they cut it) with the men pounding the anal cavities until the loads fell out. It really wasn't the best scene of the movie, falling short by a wide margin due in part to the pacing of the scene.

Scene Eight: Kylie Ireland, dressed like a princess, had learned to embrace anal sex and was soon getting rimmed by Tom Byron in anticipation of her anal scene for the movie. Anal wasn't all that common when this was made so the thematic elements revolving around having so much of it in the flick was probably quite a departure for VCA but the shaded alcove in the woods where the scene took place provided great lighting for the dup to suck and fuck, with the anal sex seeming pretty well handled by the then-rising starlet.

Summary: Timeless might not have been the classic tale by director Jim Holliday but as an tribute to Kylie Ireland and the larger issues of porn performers opposing anal sex, it was easily worth a rating of Rent It. The DVD I had seemed clean when I looked at it but some kind of mastering glitch kept it from playing properly on all of my players, forcing me to use my computer with Windows Media Player to see the whole thing. In all then, but for the technical matter discussed, Timeless was kind of timeless in how well the sex held up compared to many features made these days. If you like Kylie as much as I do, by all means pick up a copy as one of her career's highlights.
