Total Interactive Control of Alektra Blue

This interactive DVD lives up to the hype in terms of content, but gets a little side-tracked with technical aspects.

Body of Review:

For those who don't know Alektra Blue, she's a sultry brunette formerly from the Lonestar State. At age 24, she has successfully transformed herself into a glamorous pornstar and to top it all off she headlines the maiden Interactive DVD series for 3rd Degree Films, a sister company of Zero Tolerance Video.

From the main menu, Alektra Blue welcome you to the Interactive DVD and points out the features of the DVD. There are eight menu choices comprising of doggie, missionary, cowgirl, oral, masturbation, fetish, strip tease, and Alektra and friend.

Once you pick a selection from the main menu, you are brought to the submenu and given more options. For instance, let's say you choose doggie. The submenu gives you a choice of anal, creampie, and popshot. Furthermore, other options appear like whether you want her in a schoolgirl outfit or dominatrix outfit and whether you want her to talk sexy or slutty (default is sexy). Once you pick the selection, the segment usually lasts around 3 minutes . . . and there's a multiangle option given for the sex, but not for the climax shots.

For the most part, interface works nicely and there are a just a few errors that I noticed. For instance, there's an audio drop during the popshot sequence for the anal. Furthermore, there seems to be a problem with the oral sex multiangle option during default "sexy" mode . . . it doesn't work although there is a multiangle icon. To make matters worse, the audio is not in sync at all. However, when changed to "slutty" mode the multiangle option works! Also, there are no multiangles throughout missionary mode.

Content-wise, the interactive DVD rocks. Unlike past Interactive Sex DVDs on the market, all the cumshots are REAL! And the sex is really nasty in a good way . . . for instance after the cumshot, she continues to get fucked for several seconds. For the oral sex, the popshot is a monster load that gets in her hair and the rest she smears it all over her face. On the face of it, it seems that Alektra is quite the cum addict. Plus, the DVD has a couple of new features I haven't seen like the dual blowjob with Hillary Scott! Alektra really knows how to deliver her slutty trashtalking throughout the entire DVD, but especially on "nasty" during the dual blowjob sequence. The strip sequences were a nice touch, but the one that stood out right away was the French Maid sequence. During the sequence, she's in her sexy maid outfit stripping for the viewers while some trip hop-music plays in the background. This DVD goes above and beyond with the Fetish selection where you can choose from titfucking and feetfucking. Furthermore, there's girl/girl action with Hillary Scott with the option of them fucking each other with a strap-on.

A/V: As noted before, there were problems with audio drop outs and audio not being in synch with the video. On the visual aspect, as noted before, there is a multiangle issue.

Extras: The second DVD contains the following extras: a lengthy production diary and two bonus scenes ("Cheating Pays" and "Sweet Cream Pies." Of the two bonus scenes, the latter was better. Now, the gem of the extras is the production diary. Pat Myne, the director, explains the evolution of naming the Interactive DVD. Alektra makes fun of herself and puts on several Diva tantrums. Then, there's a candid moment where the camera follows her into the toilet room where she's douching her vagina right before the shoot. Pat Myne has a couple of funny moments too when he rubs it into Alektra's face and the rest of the crew about his AVN award and shows it off to them. He also makes a sales pitch differentiating Alektra's Interactive DVD with two prior ones . . . I'm assuming he meant the two other interactive DVDs of Courtney Cummz and Jenna Haze for Zero Tolerance . . . where he jokingly said that the other two ladies didn't have the boobs for titfucking . . . smack! But, hey it's all good and it's the all in the sake of fun, right?

Final Thoughts: Content-wise, the Interactive DVD is A number one! Where it struggles is with the execution of the DVD itself as noted by the irregularities with the audio issues and the multiangle problem. It's hard to believe that Q&A missed these errors during DVD mastering . . . although the issue is minute and may not be noticeable it shouldn't be taken lightly because this is probably one of Third Degree Film's major products for 2007. In summary, Alektra Blue delivers a solid performance throughout and it's ashame that it had to marred by these minor problems. This had the markings to be highly recommended, but my final recommendation is that this is RECOMMENDED!
