Extra's: For me, the best extra on the DVD was the masturbation sequences totally 9.5 minutes starring Katja Kassin first, then a limited bit by Taryn Thomas and Alektra Blue. The gals diddled themselves in a public shower type of setting with some locker room antics too. I also liked the audio commentary by McKenzie Lee and Jim Enright (who I assume was the real alias of the director, Jamie Shamrock). It seemed to me like the pair was watching it for the first time (recorded just after the Temptations awards show; by the comments made) and Jim provided the best comments of the day by far. I listened to it while writing this review and found a lot of lengthy dead spots where nothing was said so your mileage may vary as to how enjoyable it will be for you. There was also a photogallery and trailers to Deep In Style, Jenna Loves Pain, Krystal Therapy, Bella Loves Jenna, and McKenzie Made. Fans might also appreciate the paper insert in the DVD case that displayed a lot of the Club Jenna contract stars and their movies; this is the kind of extra I have long found to enhance value.
Note: The ending credits suggest that a Behind the Scenes feature was made by Tracy Anthony but after numerous issues with the production, it was probably dumped along with many of the original cast members.

Audio/Video Quality: McKenzie Illustrated was presented in a letterboxed color offering, directed by Jamie Shamrock (Jim Enright?) for release by Club Jenna. The five short scenes were not the kind of special effects laden crud that the company often over uses with decent lighting thankfully employed here instead. This limited the grain a lot and the video noise was also not a big factor with the composition of the shots well done to enhance the look of the ladies in almost every case. The emphasis on the shots tended to be with medium length edited in with close ups, rarely showing off the entire body if you know what I mean. There were no obvious compression artifacts and the fleshtones were accurate, with the visual elements all combining well to provide the desired effect. I just didn't happen to like much of what took place thanks to the editing and choices made by the camera operator or director that would cut away from a scene as soon as it started to show some heat. The 2.0 Dolby Digital English presentation was a bit heavy on the music although I will state that I appreciated how the vocals were almost always dominant (some looping seemed to be present though).

Body of Review: Club Jenna is quickly becoming well known for the plethora of contract performers they have in their stable as much as their recent acquisition by Playboy. One of the best received has been McKenzie Lee, a gal popular enough to have non-sex roles in porn in suck flicks as The AVN Awards 2006 and Deep In Style among others. Thankfully for fans, she has a number of titles already in the can since she is rumored to be out of porn and pregnant (it wasn't me so don't blame the messenger) but her most recent release is McKenzie Illustrated; a set of five scenes in the vignette fashion, Ms. Lee in three of them. That said, here's a look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used at all:

Scene One: S'expose: McKenzie Lee, the contract gal on the front DVD cover, extreme queen brunette Ariana Jollee, Jean Val Jean, Mark Davis, and Scott Nails, were up first in a scene supposedly set in a sex club. The sex was gonzo-esque in how the ladies sucked the men off with a sense of abandon and I wish Jim (on the commentary track) would've elaborated as to who was replaced and why so much of the footage was deleted but the scene was pretty good (he said it was one of the best from the movie). The ladies were enthusiastic about sucking and riding cock; with Ariana doing the best job of the two gals from the looks of it (she took a leak; aka: squirt, too). There was a lot of anal and DP work here too; both gals again giving a lot of passion and enthusiasm to their work. The scene ended with some facials that were cumswapped and as short as the scene was; they showed some chemistry too.

Scene Two: Get Mad, Get Even, Get Some: Courtney Cummz, before her contract with Zero Tolerance but looking great, was up next as she received a wake up call from a friend telling her that her husband was cheating on her. She decided to have revenge sex with Van Damage and Richard Kline/Raymond on a couch. I liked her look here and aside from some of the goofy effects (don't worry, they didn't last long) it was a decent scene too as she sucked them off before taking their cocks hard. Jim's comments about Richard were spot on (needing to gain some meat and needing a tan) but the gist of the scene was that the sex included oral, vaginal, anal, and a DP with taste testing but it was far from her better work as she looked into the camera and gave a half hearted penetrative performance. The ending facials were pretty large even if their cocks weren't.

Scene Three: Fire in the Hole: McKenzie Lee, playing a topless cooking wife with a silly chef hat on, was up next with Anthony Hardwood after feeding him some food. They kissed, felt each other up, and she blew him moderately well with her apron on. I liked that she actively rode his cock with her pussy at first but she stopped to let him do the work mid way through. It was a basic scene in most ways, ending with a facial but for fans only.

Scene Four: Lady of the Manor, Whore of the Bedroom: Sandra Romain, the anal queen from Eastern Europe, had a scene with newbie Dutch "whiny pussy" Diesel (per the voice over) to take over from the replaced Reno as she dripped candle wax on his chest and allowed him to dominate her in the large bed. She gave a good oral performance with her black outfit enhancing her looks a lot, leading to vaginal and anal sex after that. He did much of the work here and mechanically pounded away at her orifices but she finally kicked into gear near the end (during one of the anal positions of course) and bounced on his cock as though she were getting off. The facial was moderate but for all the potential of the scene, it fell kind of flat overall.

Scene Five: In the Gym: Katja Kassin, Taryn Thomas, Alektra Blue, McKenzie Lee, and Ariana Jollee, were up last in an all gal orgy in a gym locker room. The ladies licked, rubbed, stroked, and used toys on one another as they proceeded to explore each other thoroughly. I like lesbian orgies when they're done well and there were some merits here (the ladies getting sticky wet for example) but the editing and camera work might have enhanced their looks but not the performance as the gals mechanically did each other.

Summary: McKenzie Illustrated was another hit or miss title from Club Jenna that will vary in stroke value according to how much you like the lead. She did a decent job of the action here but the scenes were edited too short, had limited extras, and provided a lot of mechanical sex with some shining moments to boost the rating up to a Rent It for me. I don't deny that the ingredients were present in the movie but the lack of fuck for the buck in the show compared to other releases made this one a bit tougher to enjoy. Most of all, I blame the editing and direction of the show since those were the two components that weakened McKenzie Illustrated the most, showing that even the pretty fair vignette format isn't a given as far as providing solid scenes with lots of stroke value.
