Extra's: For those of you who really don't care about material made uniquely for a given title, the bonus scene from Butt Blast! between Katja Kassin and Alec Knight will be the best extra; lasting 22.5 minutes as described below. I prefer stuff made for the movie in hand so the 14 minute long Behind the Scenes feature was better in that regard. It was devoted mainly to photoshoots, interviews, and some minor wardrobe repairs with a bit of nudity and sex tossed in for good measure. Fans of the cast will enjoy seeing them outside of their sex scenes and there were some cute moments so check it out if you get the DVD. There was a photogallery, a cardboard slipcase, and some trailers as well for those who care.

Audio/Video Quality: POV Pussy 1 was presented in non-anamorphic letterboxed widescreen color with an approximate aspect ratio of 1.85:1 as originally shot by director Ronnie James for Bad Seed/Adam & Eve. There was some grain, minor lighting and compositional issues, and lots of times when the colors were too saturated. The fishnets worn in some scenes generated some pattern noise on my television screen but the lighting wasn't the worst I've seen of late and the camera work moderately competent for the most part. The camera movement that caused a few issues before weren't as problematic this time as in his past works, making it an okay looking movie overall but the main selling point of the movie was a point of view (POV) camera angle and there was little of that here so it lost huge points that it didn't have in the first place. The 2.0 Dolby Digital stereo English was slightly hollow but vocals weren't a major focus (far too low) of the scenes but the thumping music really stunk in a big way (and there were some drop out portions on the track that surprised me as amateurish).

Body of Review: Ronnie James is one of the newer directors at Adam & Eve's Bad Seed subsidiary and his main claim to fame is a decidedly mixed selection of movies that range from pretty good work to really weak crud from what I've seen. His latest title is POV Pussy 1 where the cover advertised "100% pussy point-of-view!" but the reality of the scenes was that any POV camera work was minimal to say the least. Rather than carry on about it, here's a quick look at what took place, noting that some of the scenes were almost Easter Egg long in nature as opposed to full scenes:

Scene One: Franchezca Valentina, the gal on the front DVD cover in her pink outfit, was up first as she teased Alec Knight in POV fashion with some gyrating and face sitting before blowing him. The POV camera work gave way to a generic style of shooting after the initial portion of the action was over with, with him giving her better head than she gave him. This led to an okay but relatively passive bit of pole riding by her in the vaginal mode, relying too heavily on her looks for my comfort. She did try to more actively ride his cock as the scene progressed, saving it from obscurity in fact, but even the use of the small vibrator as she did so couldn't make the scene as good as I've seen her do in the past elsewhere. It ended with a face pop for those who care though she didn't swallow and treated his spew like poison.

Scene Two: Jenaveve Jolie, a very sultry Latina, was up next as she masturbated on the couch in POV gonzo style. She was talkative and appeared to get off at least once or twice but the camera work was substandard compared to some of Ronnie's other titles and this one came across as a tack on more than anything else. On a related note, her work with the larger vibrator (the back massager type you may have seen around) was a lot more convincing but she was fine throughout the scene.

Scene Three: Sativa Rose, another Latina well worth checking out for her combination of sultry moves and skilled abilities, was up next as she followed the general formula with Alec Knight. The POV aspect of the show was discarded even sooner this time. She wasn't given much time to orally warm up or return the favor sadly enough and while the screwing was pretty good (at least some of the time), she's a world class performer and should have been allowed to do much more than she did here. It ended in a facial but Ronnie's direction was a nuisance here too (as in a few scenes) and the net result was decidedly mixed, even for a big fan of Sativa's like me.

Scene Four: Franchezca Valentina, apparently right after her previous scene, was allowed to spend a couple of minutes masturbating in the bathroom with a bullet vibrator. She "squirt" and the text read that she had only done so twice in her life before this. If you've read my comments on squirting in the past, you'll know what I thought about it but her fans will probably enjoy the limited action here.

Scene Five: Monica Sweetheart, one of the hottest gals in porn for a long time, was up next in black accented lingerie on a bed with wind tossed hair as she teased and then enjoyed Marco Banderas/Duato after the masturbation part of the scene. The editing dropped the ball a few times here (watch it and you'll see what I mean) but she was always looking good and the oral with vaginal sex between the couple showed both of them having a great time. This was an instance I can point to that showed how the technical aspects impacted an otherwise strong scene, rendering it fair but not nearly what it should have been. It ended with him rubbing out a load onto her crotch for those who care.

Scene Six: Michelle Maylene, wearing black lingerie with pink accents, masturbated for about 30 seconds as Ronnie questioned her in a trivia match on the couch. It was not a full scene and her fans would consider it a general waste of her talent.

Scene Seven: Violet Marcell, an older brunette (26 going on 33?) in red lingerie, was up next in another generic scene sporting James Deen as her partner. The lame music and technical values killed it for me with oral and vaginal sex being the highlight with no POV camera work (yet again). It ended with a facial if you're still with me.

Scene Eight: Mikayla, an attractive brunette, was up next as she masturbated in a POV fashion for a short time, leading into the fabulously hot Nikki Loren doing likewise. Nikki looked great and her act was fun as she masturbated with a large purple vibrator (exactly like the one I reviewed earlier this year in fact). I liked this more than anything else in the movie except for the music and the gals then enjoyed a lengthy lesbian scene together on the bed with some strap on dildos and other toys. It wasn't enough to save the flick from obscurity but as a Nikki Loren fan, it at least gave me something to point to as being worth watching more than once.

Bonus Scene: Butt Blast: Katja Kassin, the attractive German anal queen built for comfort over speed, was up next as she teased outdoors in a pink & purple outfit that enhanced her figure nicely. From the looks of it, she had been working out as her muscles came across as toned up and I admit again to being a huge fan of her and her work. The scene itself took place inside a room by the fireplace with Alec Knight as the lucky bastard getting his knob slobbed by her. While her oral on him wasn't the best of the show, she has long been established as being better during the penetrative sex. The vaginal was okay but when they moved on to the anal, she was on fire as a result. If any of the others hammered themselves as passionately on the cock as she did, I must've missed it and this saved the scene for me. On a down side, the camera cut away during the pop shot and even showed him dropping a little on her cheek so the anal excavation that came afterwards was highly questionable to discerning viewers.

Summary: POV Pussy 1 showed that for all the potential director Ronnie James has displayed, he is subject to a lot of variations in the quality of his work; far more than I feel comfortable shelling out cash for from my own pocket. I can't dismiss him completely since when he's on the money, he does a great job but when he's off the mark; forget about it! In short though, the lack of POV material compared to the advertising, the waste of talent in too many cases, and the weaker than need be technical values all reduced POV Pussy 1 to a Skip It for me. There was some strokable material offered up but it almost seemed to be by coincidence rather than purposeful design so I really think you should skip this one in favor of the multitude of better releases on the market (some of which are by the director himself).
