Extra's: The best extra was the Behind the Scenes feature lasting 20:28 minutes. It started off with a score and no vocals, showing some sex footage before the majority of the program went into interviews by Maya Hills, Victoria Sin, and Ana Nova (skipping ESL Paola). If you're a fan of these three ladies, you will find some apparently candid comments by them. My only issue with the interviews was how the interviewer seemed to be reaching for his questions at times, leaving it coming off as unpolished. There was also a fair photogallery by Mario Rossi, trailers to shows such as Reign of Tera 2, Test Drive, Teradise Island, Sexxxpose: Tiffany Taylor, Sexxxpose: Lexie Marie, Sexxxpose: Britney Skye, Sexxxpose: Nikki Benz, Reign of Tera 1, Fashion Underground, Desperate, Collision Course, and Tera Tera Tera, as well as a true double sided DVD cover.

Audio/Video Quality: Decadence was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as shot by director Ethan Kane for Teravision/Vivid as his opening salvo for the company. The camera setting was shown during the BTS as HD 1080i F2.8 60i so while it may not have been the best offering the guy could provide (1080p would have a lot more resolution for example), I've seen some of his previous work and this was far more straightforward once montages at the beginning of the three ~40 minute long scenes were over. The lighting was a bit weaker than usual in that shadows abounded in the trio of scenes but the fleshtones were accurate and the majority of action was captured nicely enough. As far as gonzo porn is concerned, Ethan has a way to go before he joins the ranks of the industry greats but his experience behind the camera is still limited so I'll give him a break while he gets into his game. The camera angles did not always favor the ladies and make them look their best but it was generally competently shot with the editing needing more polish in my opinion. I did see a few compression artifacts and with a video bitrate of under 2 Mbps, I can see why I would, but it wasn't bad looking by any means. The audio was shot in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English under a 192 Kbps, the music somewhat generic but thankfully limited in scope to the montages but the vocals were fair. There was no separation between the channels and the dynamic range of the mostly moans and groans quite basic but that's one of the accepted trademarks of gonzo these days; just the basics.

Body of Review: Ethan Kane has been involved in porn for years now, even winning an award awhile back from AVN for some technical category or another. Lately, he has worked mostly at Ninn Worx but he has recently signed on as a director for Teravision so he will likely be trying to expand his boundaries as a result. His first movie for them is Decadence, a series of three lengthy gonzo scenes that set no trends or went very far but served to prove Ethan was at home with straightforward porn that isn't as reliant on artsy fartsy effects to act as eye candy as some of his previous work. With performers like Maya Hills, Ana Nova, Victoria Sin, and Paola Rey getting a chance to shine well beyond the company's usually short scene nature, I found a lot to like about the movie. Here's what the back cover said to give you an idea: "dec.a.dence: [dek-uh-duhns]- noun; 1. unrestrained or excessive self-indulgence. Allow you your mind to create the wildest and most indulgent sexual fantasy. Imagine the most beautiful women in the most erotic settings. Realize your fantasies in first person and experience the farthest boundaries and limitations in the world of Decadence." If you're still interested, and you should be, here's a quick look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used:

Scene One: Paola Rey, the Brazilian performer that has been in porn for a few years now, was up first in a black & white tease montage offered up in slow motion as she stripped off her skimpy, form fitting lingerie. Fans of all natural women will enjoy her body and the camera work was stylish for the artistic loving crowd out there. The scene took place in a modern looking bedroom once Ethan gave her a short session of tease in color too, talking her through what he wanted to see as he molested her. While a little bit of cameraman POV action was okay, I was happier to see industry veteran Mario Rossi, a guy that looks a lot like Rocco Siffredi when he still made stroke flicks I liked, took over. She reciprocated with an aggressive hummer, winking at the camera in a knowing fashion that led me to think she was performing more than truly into the act, but it was a decent performance. It worked better when they slipped into a 69 as well, her sweet little ass held high in the air as her head nodded up and down on his cock. Not long after she sucked his balls and finished the knob slobbing, the couple was pounding with some vaginal penetration; Paola panting as she pumped her hips to meet his thrusts. The MTV editing worked less well here, the artistic license getting in the way but showing that an implanted MILF like Ana still has a lot of mileage left in her admittedly well worn frame. I hated her implants as much as ever and she was looking kind of harsh in terms of her face but the horned up men sitting next to her on the couch were like most men in that regard; given a chance at hot pussy, the details were unimportant. Instead of Ethan assisting during a solo tease, the montage went right to the trio on the couch where the men used large toys on her slowly, building up a tempo that started off slower than the previous two scenes. Unlike the other gals in the movie, she relied more on extreme action than cuteness or good looks, getting into the technical DP (two toys) before the men started getting blown by the inhalation technique she has developed over the years. Summary: Decadence by director Ethan Kane for Teravision/Vivid had enough replay and stroke value to merit serious consideration as a Recommended fuck flick. The amount of fuck for the buck was elevated by the use of the ladies who each had something different to offer, and this was a rare case where a porno was longer than advertised on the cover. While it may not have lived up to the hype as something particularly outlandish, out of the ordinary, or even the best these ladies had to offer, it was a lot of fun to watch and the front cover, while "different", was thankfully about as far off on the kind of dynamic the scenes projected as could be. In short, Decadence was a solid first attempt for Ethan to work with the folks at Teravision; giving them something of value aside from the appealing features the company is best known for (though it would have been better if Tera Patrick was in the movie too).
