Extras: The first disc had some decent extras this time, a 63:02 minute long Behind the Scenes feature that gave a good overview of the production, beginning with some SPX and Alanah Rae. There was also a popshot recap and a photogallery for those that care. All the other extras were on the second disc, a trailer and three Behind the Scenes features included as well. The first of these lasted 102:51 minutes, the second clocking in at 77:11 minutes, and the third at 70:20 minutes. There was a wide variety of material here, including some exposure to the special effects of the flick, some additional sex, and a lot of commentary by the cast & crew.

Audio/Video Quality: Supergirl XXX was presented in anamorphic 1.78:1 widescreen as shot by director Sinister X (an all new alias for an established director) for Exquisite Multimedia. This standard definition version was presented in the MPEG-2 codec, the bitrate hovering around the 4.9 Mbps mark when I spot checked it, the colors all bright and indicative of the original characters thanks in part to solid lighting. There were few flaws in the visuals to speak of, limited grain and no observed compression artifacts, the special effects suitable for a cable TV movie as much as a high grade porno, the composition tending to strongly favor the women yet still keep the costumes as a central selling point unlike some of the recent productions by others. The editing showed some care and frankly, it worked for me on both levels, the cheese factor well established but the smut factor selling me on the rating given. The audio was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital stereo with a 48 kHz sampling rate and 192 Kbps audio bitrate, the blend of vocals to special effects nicely played. Perhaps future efforts will incorporate more ambient noises and music too but this was a decent effort in terms of audio and visual elements in play.

Body of Review: Exquisite Multimedia saw the writing on the wall when it launched a massive effort to compete in the superhero parody market, commissioning director Sinister X to aggressively compete against the “big boys” of parodies, their first release (Justice League of Pornstar Heroes XXX) literally topping anything else put out this year in the “superhero” genre by stalwarts like Braun or Skow. Not to rest on their laurels, they have continued this trend with Supergirl XXX, thankfully not basing the story on the admittedly weak mainstream Helen Slater flick from decades ago. The up side here was that cutie Alanah Rae played the lead role, the attractive young blond certainly looking the part as much as anyone else (porn or mainstream) has done, her sexual skills making her the one to see. With Sunny Lane, Andy San Dimas, and India Summer also cast in various roles, I was curious going into this one whether it would be as good as the company’s initial hero flick or if a case of sophomore slump would set in; given the second disc of extras, I saw a lot of potential though.

That said, the costumes were cute takeoffs of their mainstream counterparts, “X’s” added in all the right spots to signify the parody as such yet keeping the same names, color schemes, and proportions (Supergirl, Batgirl, and Superman). My quick take on the movie was that it was another great parody compared to most in the genre, able to poke a little fun at the characters but still be respectful of their fans, yet still embracing the core reason why so many enjoy porn in the first place. The sex might not have been the hardest of the hardcore smut but at the same time it wasn’t anything close to the vanilla trysts so frequently seen in the contract company offerings, my hat is off to the company for how well it handled the material. The company website described it like this: “Earth's sexiest super XXX hero is a young, co-ed from another planet. Supergirl (Alanah Rae) barely escapes the destruction of her home planet, but her greatest challenge lies ahead -- sorority life! With the help of her cousin, Superman (Dale Dabone) and her bff, Barbara Gordon (Sunny Leon), Supergirl tries to pass off as human. The only thing standing in her way from a life of text books, keg parties and casual sex, is Natasha Luthor (Andy San Dimas), the Queen Bitch of the Tri-Pi Sorority. In Luthor's plan for world domination, Supergirl is the last piece of the puzzle.” Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Jenna Presley, a curvy brunette dressed up in skimpy lingerie, was up first in bed to satisfy Dale “Superman” DaBone. Alanah was the star of the bunch when it came to engaging in vaginal penetration but Chastity did nicely as well, Sunny relegated to a much smaller role than she would have back when she was more actively doing porn. There was rimming and throating too, titty play and facials; Alanah slurping on Barry’s nut of population pudding to close out after she inhaled Anthony’s splooge. Orgies like this are tough to capture and as much as I enjoyed it, I thought more long shots might have improved adding context to the proceedings but frankly, the limited amount of utilizing other ladies did not help much either. Still, Alanah was great here given how aggressively she took cock and looked all glazed over in semen.

The editing was on the choppy side at times (almost as if two sets of hands were at work using different pacing dynamics) but India has long proven to be a delightful trollop thanks to her looks and sexual skills. Summary: Supergirl XXX by director Sinister X for Exquisite Multimedia was another winner, the company efforts to date considered a big reason why the XRCO and other award shows have added at least one new category for the genre. This time, the casting, the lighthearted script, and the adherence to the premise merited a healthy rating of Highly Recommended or better depending on your tastes in ladies, Alanah Rae certainly earning accolades for her role in making the fuck flick a hit. Dale made a better Superman than others recently assuming the role and Sunny Lane is always appreciated in a porno, the net result of the technical wizardry and care that went into the show making it stand out compared to the bulk of titles in the genre. In short, Supergirl XXX solidified the role of Exquisite in the parody market, showing a lot of care for the material on what amounts to very small budgets (even the biggest porn flicks have miniscule budgets; especially these days) but if you’re one of those that digs the current genre of superhero titles, this should be on your “must have” list for your collection.
