Extra's: Fans of bonus scene scenes will like the scene from One Night In Vegas between Alexis Malone (in her angel outfit) and Nick Manning the most of all the extras. It lasted around 13 minutes long and was oral and straight only but she was looking cute. I also liked the 20 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by "Markey Mark" more since it was made exclusively for the DVD as the movie was shot. It had a lot of sex and nudity as well as interviews by the cast and crew, making it a worthy extra to enjoy for fans of the cast. There were also the usual photogalleries, trailers to movies like Camp Cuddly Pines, Eternity, Secrets of the Velvet Ring, Road Trixxx 3 and others. There were also the usual promotional & DVD ROM materials like promo reels, desktop photos, Wicked Casino, awards and nominations, a DVD catalog, spam, and a protective cardboard sleeve to the DVD case.

Audio/Video Quality: Conviction was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as original shot by director Jim Enright for Wicked Pictures. The lighting was decent but standard porn, leading to some shadows in the darker scenes but limited grain and other defects. The fleshtones were accurate and the composition of the shots was above average in most cases; making the ladies look as appealing as possible. There were no compression artifacts and I saw no video noise so it seems as though Wicked Pictures spent some money mastering the DVD properly. The audio was presented with Wicked's standard choice of the 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround track in English or the 2.0 tracks in German and Spanish. I spot checked the foreign language tracks and found nothing worth fussing about although the primary track seemed to have a monaural vocal spread with some limited separation between the channels on the musical score.

Body of Review: Wicked Pictures has had a pretty good year with some solid hits and a number of sleeper releases that were far more worthy of praise than many bigger budget movies. The general theme of the company is to provide adult entertainment material for consenting couples that like the higher end production values and lack of arty farty visual effects that other companies seem compelled to present as somehow more "interesting". One of their latest couples releases was a small budget release by director Jim Enright called Conviction, based on the Victor Hugo quote that "The Supreme Happiness of Life is the conviction that we are loved." The movie was written by George Kaplan and detailed the story of a lovely financier played by Alexis Malone as she met "Mr. Right", played by Randy Spears as a confidence man trying to swindle investors, and eventually met the real man of her dreams in the end. It was another fluff piece with bad acting and apparently churned out quickly but the attractive cast and couples sex will appeal to some of you just fine. Here's a breakdown of the scenes by cast and action, noting that condoms were standardized here:

Scene One: Alexis Malone, the blonde cutie on the front DVD cover, was up first in a romantic scene with studly Randy Spears at night in his home. They started it off by dancing to no music (preferring to "make their own") but were soon going at one another in a couples scene where she really looked appealing to me. The sex was oral and vaginal only; done with the slow sultry, attitude of a movie made to appear friendly to women but remain strokable to men too. Like the other scenes, there were condoms but he did end it by giving her a facial, not generally something approved of by couples. Still, they shared some chemistry together and while it wasn't anything special to a jaded old porn hound like me, I thought a lot of you would probably like it.

Scene Two: Rebecca Lord, a very busty redhead, and Kat Stevens a busty brunette, were up next in a lesbian scene on the bed while Randy commented and watched them from a chair. While I'm not into either gal, Rebecca carried her extra weight well and both seemed to have fun licking and sucking one another. There was some foot play and toy work here but most of it was oral (including rimming) and rubbing. For me, Kat seemed to be having a great time while Rebecca went through the motions, leaving it less satisfying than it would've otherwise been.

Scene Three: Eva Angelina, the dark haired hotty with a great body and face, showed her sexual skill was better than her acting ability after a short bit of dialogue. This led to her pouncing on black Tyler Knight on the couch. To his credit, he pounced back (like any sane man would do) and the two playfully teased at one another as they readied for some passionate sex. They gave each other some head, with Eva's being better by a fair margin, and were soon bumping uglies as she rode him in reverse cowgirl by the fireplace. It was more difficult for her to be as energetic when he took her in a modified doggy style but she tried and screamed loudly enough until the minimal facial. She looked great but seemed held back by the outside factors too much for my liking.

Scene Four: Dani Woodward, the popular redheaded internet hotty, was up next as she sucked off Randy Spears as he laid back on a cushion. Sadly, that's all there was to the scene as he blew a load in no time at all onto her lovely face.

Scene Five: Alana Evans, a bleached blonde that looks like Jill Kelly when she was much younger, was up next in a night scene by the fireplace with Sergio. He went down on her and she overacted a bit as to how good it was which led to her blowing him with a sufficient amount of energy to make it look appealing. Even better was the way she rode him as he hammered away at her pussy, each matching the other stroke for stroke. This was another short scene, ending with the gooey facial as expected. It was mechanical in nature but she still looked good in the scene.

Scene Six: Alexis Malone, again looking great, was up in the last scene with the mighty Evan Stone by the fireplace at night as the two shared a glass of wine. He gave her some song and dance about loving her (I'll admit it, I'm jaded), the two kissed and made out romantically with caresses and all the usual sorts of playful antics. That led to oral by him on her, her on him and a bout of boning in her tight pussy (though not in that order since her oral was the finishing head used to draw out his load onto her face). It was short and sweet but hardy stroke material for a guy. If you have a female partner with you, she'll probably enjoy it a lot more than I did.

Summary: Conviction had enough material worth looking at to rate as a Rent It but it will primarily appeal to fans of the cast and couples looking for a movie not too hardcore. On a technical level, the movie was well made and the selection of cast for their raw sexuality was sweetly handled but the limitations of the story, the acting, and the sex all added up to one that you hardcore lovers will hate. The extras were standard for a Wicked Pictures release but the only one I truly liked that was made for the movie was the Behind the Scenes feature by Mark. He did a solid job of putting it together and while I know director Jim Enright is a talented director most of the time, he seemed rushed this time and on too limited a budget to properly bring his vision to fruition. Give it a look but don't expect much this time.
