Extra's: The best extra by far was the 12.5 minute long Behind the Scenes feature that gave the cast and crew a chance to discuss a variety of topics. There was also nudity and some anecdotal information about the movie, adding value for a porn hound like myself. There was also a photogallery, some trailers, and a bit of spam at the beginning of the DVD.

Audio/Video Quality: Beverly Hills Party Girls was presented in the same 1.33:1 ratio full frame color it was shot in by director Roy Karch for Sex Z Pictures. The scenes were all shot well enough with some attention to lighting, composition of the shots, other technical aspects and the levels of grain were okay this time. The colors seemed somewhat saturated but there were no compression artifacts this time so I was fairly content with the visual aspects of the DVD. The stereo audio was basic in most ways with no separation between the channels and a limited dynamic range. Feature porn has more of a need for good audio than gonzo so this hurt the overall effort a bit more than usual.

Body of Review: Director Roy Karch has been around the porn world for longer than some people reading this have been alive (if you believe the press releases at least). As such a long timer, Roy has developed a sense of style that probably worked in the good old days and could probably work again if he were given a bigger budget or more time to make a better movie. The latest of his movies I got in to review was Beverly Hills Party Girls, a slight effort released a while ago by Sex Z Pictures. The movie centered on a call girl operation set in the richly decadent area of Southern California where millionaires played with few limits. To be frank about the plot; it really didn't have one and the limited amount of cheesy acting probably benefited from that fact but as a vignette driven DVD, the sex could've been better too. Here's a look at the movie by Roy, noting that some condom use was spotted:

Scene One: Nikki Hunter, the busty blonde standing on the center of the front DVD cover, was up first in a lesbian tryst with Shannon Adams; the brunette sitting on the far right side of the cover. Nikki's corset and garter outfit accentuated her curvy figure nicely and Shannon's sleek black dress matched her body well but the scene was lacking in some way. The two were tentatively paid a couple grand to perform a little lesbian action for one of the rich characters in a bedroom above a ritzy party. They licked and sucked one another off well enough but it seemed like he should've participated more than lick one of the dildos clean. In all, it wasn't bad but it was limited in terms of heat and chemistry.

Scene Two: Vanessa Lane, the attractive cutie located on the left hand side of the front DVD cover, was up next in a scene with studly former Marine, Seth Dickens. Her oral to him seemed very well done with the kind of practiced ease a professional tends to show. That she seemed appreciative of his efforts assisted in making the scene hotter almost goes without saying but her performance overall was a winner. This included the part where she rode him in his lap as though she were on fire and she cleaned him off PTM style. While she didn't swallow his load, she did take the facial with a sense of glee, making it a fitting ending to this energetic scene.

Scene Three: Pason, an attractive gal not shown on the front DVD cover but no less worthy by any standards, was up next in an outdoor scene with Jim Beem and Steve Hatcher. Initially, she was giving Jim a hummer but Steve cock blocked him and took over mid way through. She looked pretty good here (and he looked in need of a haircut), showing off her talents nicely in some oral (giving and receiving) but the scene ended before she could get the kind of action her pussy really wanted. Sigh…

Scene Four: Alana Evans, the blonde kneeling at Nikki's knees on the front DVD cover, and brunette Candi Delight, also a visual treat cheated out of some cover action, were up in a night scene with studly Cheyne Collins on a couch. Alana could be a younger version of Jill Kelly and Candi appeared to be the kind of gal barely out of high school so fans of all sorts should enjoy this scene although it started out as a lesbian bit, moved to a near trio and then went one on one between Alana and Cheyne after Candi left (what was with the partner leaving theme in this fricking movie?!?). The oral was short as was the ride but the chair was a suitable place for the action and she took the facial okay.

Scene Five: Pason, finally given the respect she was due, hooked up with studly Sergio on the staircase with both of them stripping before she skipped the oral and asked him to take her from behind. I guess missing out on some meat in her pussy early on taught her to take advantage of the penis while available, even if he used a condom to bone her. After some nice vaginal action, the couple went anal on us and she took the role of sexual aggressor by staying on top and actively riding him. There was no oral and she was tight lipped when he rubbed out a load onto her face but she did take a facial, contrary to what I heard on a gossip website.

Scene Six: Nikki Hunter, probably my favorite gal of the movie due to her past work, was up last in a scene that had her working with Tony Tedeschi. Not much use was made of his acting talents this time (I've long believed his acting talents were better than his sexual performances) but with a gal like Nikki on top of you, it's pretty tough to go wrong; unless you count premature ejaculation. They took it slow though, savoring each other orally as well as with some fair screwing of her tight pussy. Yeah, her moans got over the top at one point but she's a fun gal and easily the most perfect for the role of "party girl" as the title suggested. It ended when she jerked out his load onto her face and tongue, although is screams for her to keep going seemed very unnecessary.

Summary: Beverly Hills Party Girls had enough to rate as a Rent It if you like many of the cast members like I did but the sex wasn't their best work (not even close), the plotting elements were kind of lame (at best), and the various other aspects of the movie didn't make it worth a lot of critical analysis. I'm sure director Roy Karch, if given a Wicked Pictures sized budget like Jonathan Morgan or Brad Armstrong tend to get (as well as a week instead of a day), could hit a home run given some of the little aspects that tend to get lost in the shuffle of these reviews but his employers to date seem to focus on getting product churned out for quick turnover. Such movies don't leave a lasting impression, at least not a favorable one, and cause fans to avoid a company until they hear things have improved.
