Audio/Video Quality: The picture was presented in 1.33:1 ratio full frame color with stereo English audio. It sounded a bit hollow at times with the music set a bit high but otherwise the audio wasn't much of a problem. The picture was actually pretty weak and the dvd transfer was not the best (thankfully Vivid has been working on improving this type of issue in more recent releases). The picture was often faded or grainy with video noise problems throughout. Considering the age of most of the scenes, it's easy to understand why it looks this way but that doesn't make me any happier about the visual and audio flaws.

Body of Review: Those of us who enjoy watching porn probably have seen our share of orgies in various releases over the years. For the most part, such scenes allow us to see a bunch of performers engaged in a bunch of sex acts with one another and depending on the quality of the director, the scenes often have something unique to offer viewers. Sadly, most such scenes tend to show the flaws of directors and cameramen far too easily since editing (as is done with all porn) can't hide the flaws of an orgy as easily as a one on one scene. Vivid, in an attempt to provide fans with a bunch of orgy scenes to enjoy, now releases a new compilation, All Stars: Orgies. The DVD is a collection of ten scenes plus a few bonus scenes of grope sex action. Here's a breakdown of the scenes by movie, director, cast and actions:

Scene One: Deviant: D-Toni English: Raylene, Taylor, Chennin, Evan, Billy, and Cheyne had an orgy in a smoky club with a stage. Evan seemed to be the spotlight act but each of them employed a variety of sexual practices, mostly oral and straight, to get one another off. It wasn't a bad scene.

Scene Two: Make Up: D-Anita Rinaldi: Dora, Anne, Christof, Leslie, and Alex had a warm scene on a couch in a small room. There was oral and straight as well as anal and a DP going on but nothing as explicit as Dora's work with Private or Christof's work with Evil Angel.

Scene Three: The Jungle: D-Cody: Dayton, Envy, Monique, Chennin, Venus and Mark where the women wore elaborate body paint and make up for the scene. The lighting here was really bad but the sex looked to be a lot of fun.

Scene Four: Unconscious: D-Robby D.: Raylene, Dasha, Lola, Vince, and Erik had a scene in a hospital bed (or two). While the action was a bit hectic, it focused on oral and straight with a bit of fun. I think this scene would've benefited from a more linear approach to the sex act (rather than bouncing around all the time) but the cast was attractive enough to please.

Scene Five: Life: D-Cleo Edwards: This was a gangbang in a warehouse with Cherie and April as the stars. The men included Pat, Steve, Jordan, and Anthony and Taylor watched the action. It included some anal with the other acts and was pretty good although a few longer shots would've made it look better.

Scene Six: Phone Sex: D-Anita Rinaldi: Katy, Julia, Monica, Alberto and Mike, some of the usual crowd from movies made in Europe, had a scene in a small, closed room. They all were active in the scene, something that isn't common in domestically made orgy scenes, and the scene ended with a facial to the women.

Scene Seven: The Necklace: D-Anita Rinaldi: Silvy, Orsi, Agi, Mary, Boldi, Atty, and Bob had a scene in a small room. The sex was mostly oral and straight but there was some anal with a DP for the kinky crowd to enjoy. I didn't like the use of slow motion photography during the scene and it lowered the heat in my opinion.

Scene Eight: Jekyll And Hyde: D-Paul Thomas: Katalin, Genevieve, Judit, Daniella, Fernanda, Alberto, Kallinger, Leslie, Frank, and John had a scene in a large room (no doubt!) with period costumes. The sex was not as tame as Vivid is known for, including anal and such, but it was far too short to let any of the cast get in any real heat too.

Scene Nine: Layover: D-Paul Thomas: Asia, Tammi, London, and Bobby had a scene after the gals warmed each other up in front of the men. The sex was tame and no real passion came from any of them although seeing an early Asia scene was kind of cool. There was even some anal sex for those who like seeing it but not much.

Scene Ten: Prisoner: D-Ren Savant: April, Lola, Heaven, Evan, Michael, and Steve had an orgy in an industrial plant. The editing wasn't great here (the same could be said for most of the scenes) but I like the cast so I'd be lying if I said I didn't at least partially enjoy them in the act. The sex was mostly oral and straight with pop shots on the ass and face to finish.

Summary: This DVD wasn't bad but many, if not most, of the scenes seemed to start off already under way. I'm listing it with a rating of Rent It but true fans of group sex will be able to overlook the technical flaws and concentrate on the sexual fun. I've seen a whole lot worse than this one lately but I've seen a whole lot better from Vivid Interactive as well.
