Extra's: The best extra was the 18 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by Wayne Hentai and Tina Tyler. Most of the cast were given the spotlight at least a little bit, with some getting more time than others, as the feature provided some interviews, more sex, and a bit of additional nudity from the scenes that fans will enjoy watching. Tina was plainly in charge of the set, showing that she was indeed the director and not just a name on the box cover, offering up ideas to make the scenes look better as the performers looked to her for guidance. There were also some fetish menus, seven trailers, a photogallery, and a double sided DVD cover (though the second side only had other covers).

Audio/Video Quality: Superwhores 8 was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as (mostly) shot by director Tina Tyler for release by Mercenary Pictures. The lighting was flat and plentiful so the grain and video noise weren't issues here. Some of the compositional matters were only fair but in most of the scenes, she did just fine as she tried to balance the close ups against the medium shots that look better on this type of show. There weren't any compression artifacts and I thought the visual appeal was among the best of the series to date (it seems to get better each time in most ways, even with a change in directors). For those who claim that Tina is just a name placed on the credits rather than the "real" director, it should be noted that she was heard and seen in the mirror as holding the camera and directing the action when needed. The audio was presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital English. There was a fair amount of generic music in the background but it never dominated the vocals and sounds of sex so it worked out fairly well, even without any separation and a very limited dynamic range.

Body of Review: Tina Tyler has been in porn for over a decade on both sides of the camera, offering up her own brand of sexually stimulating ideas to help you get off. While now retired from performing, she has been pursuing her career at Mercenary Pictures for some time; a distinctively different choice for company owner Lexington Steele considering his company caters largely to fans of interracial antics and she's known for her pale white (some might say alabaster or glowing) skin. Looks can be deceiving though since she is an expert in all things sexual, sharing a few running jokes with me for years now about her work in a dungeon so it was with great pleasure that I picked up a copy of Superwhores 8, her latest directorial effort, to see what she's been up to. Well, the good news is that she has been hard at work making this one of her best works to date, a series of eight scenes of varying length and sexual depravity, which includes some of the finest performances of the cast to date. If you're still interested, here's a quick look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used:

Scene One: Gianna, the busty hotty on the left side of the front cover, Candace Von, the busty babe on the right side of the cover, and studly Marco Banderas/Duato, were up first on the living room couch as the gals saved the day when he needed sexual tension relived. Summary: Superwhores 8 by director Tina Tyler for release by Mercenary Pictures had a lot of heated fuck for the buck, a fine cast, and some very strokable material worthy of replaying many times. Granted, a few scenes seemed to be far weaker than average but the majority were ball draining and a lot of fun with only the relatively weak extras and minor technical qualms (along with those two lame scenes) getting in the way to reduce the rating to a Recommended. In short, Superwhores 8, like Superwhores 7 before it, will work for many of you on multiple levels so give it a shot and I think you'll understand why director Tina is one of the best kept secrets in the jizz biz.
