In Nina Hartley's guide to sex for the bi-curious woman, Nina takes her audience through all of the trials and tribulations of sex between two women who are not all out lesbians. This DVD specifically to woman who want to taste the loins of another woman (and their boyfriends who think this is a great way to bridge the gap to potential three-some action).

Scene 1: Nina Hartley & Justine Julia

Scene one is the biggest part of the DVD and includes the entire lesson. Nina explains some of the issues concerning women getting other women into bed, with such issues to make sure that both women are in it for the same reason, so no body gets hurt. Although, the scene starts out very very slow, it is important to remember that this DVD is catering to not your typical porno fan. Nina sets the scene and finally picks up when Nina's lovely red-headed assistant gets buck naked, showing off her long body, beautiful pussy, and mesmerizing smile. The two start some heavy petting, all the while explaining what they are doing to one another. Cleanliness (including the use of rubber gloves and condoms over dildos) is a large focus of Nina's lesson. All the equipment is outlined in detail. Nina then shows the fun parts of mutual masturbation and going down on one another. The two lick each other, talk, and then lick some more crotch. The two continue the dialogue and point out some of the more important nuisances of girl on girl sex including communication. Numerous toys are analyzed including the proper way to don a strap-on. (Little known fact, Nina has a custom made strap-on). The scene even includes some anal play. Heat is not really what the direct was going for in this scene. It was more important to go through the lesson and show the audience how the bi-curious can take her curiosity to the next level. There were times, when the sex started going, but they were brief. I found it a rather interesting lesson, but not exactly hardcore stroke material.

Scene 2: Adreanna Nicole & Gia Paloma

Now it's time to see if Nina's protégés have been paying attention in calss. Adreanna is a cute skinny blonde with a giant tattoo in her hip. She's paired with one of the hottest young women in porn who has been lighting up the blue screen over the past few years. Extras:
The highlight of the extras menu is a scene from a past instructional DVD from Adam & Eve and Nina Hartley and her guide to G-spot sex starring lovely Melissa Lauren and the legendary instructor herself. It offers a lesson of the woman's body that to some may be as erotic as a lesson in Accounting. To me, I found it very fun. The scene lasts a full 31 minutes, is definitely a value added item. There is a very informative interview with Nina Hartley a photo-gallery and even some behind the scenes. Trailers are also included for upcoming and current Adam & Eve releases of "Lady Scarface", "Sentenced" and "Big City Nights".

Where Hard Meets Soft:
From a production values standpoint, Nina's lesson is top notch, featuring all of the Dolby Digital technologies inherent on many of Adam & Eve's adult DVDs. From a lesson standpoint, this was very informative and even fun way to learn a little bit. (Although staring at tits, is not good for retention purposes). From a sex standpoint, it was a little light. There was really only one scene where the sex got hot an heavy. Overall, I must give Nina Hartley's Guide to Sex for the Bi-Curious woman a Rent It rating.
