Belladonna: No Warning 8 is a Belladonna movie in name only. She doesn’t appear on camera and she doesn’t really seem to have done anything behind camera either, leaving the directorial duties this time around to one Aiden Reilly. This is more or less spelled out on the cover but you really can’t fault some fans if they get irked that the marketing behind this release is a bit misleading. So with that said, and trying to be objective rather than subjective, is this disc worth is based solely on its own merits? Yeah, if you dug the first seven releases in the line, you’ll definitely find much to enjoy about this one as well. For those new to the series, there’s no plot here – this is straight up girl on girl hardcore gonzo porn taken to some fairly kinky and harsh extremes. The cover image, showing pretty Ash Hollywood with close pins all over her, sexy Dana DeArmond leering rather viciously over her shoulder, gives you a good idea of what lies ahead. If that’s your bag, then read on… if not? Well, you can turn back now. But you’d be missing out.

DISC ONE:

This shot on digital video production looks pretty clean presented here in a reasonably stable 1.78.1 anamorphic widescreen presentation. There is some mild edge enhancement in a couple of spots and a noticeable bit of mpeg compression evident throughout in the darker scenes. Skin tones look nice and natural, the compositions are dead on, and aside from the fact that this digital video production looks like a digital video production and as such suffers from the minor defects usually associated with the format, everything looks as good as you’d realistically expect it to.

Sound:

The Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround track is quite sufficient. The dialogue comes through cleanly and clearly as do all of the moans and groans. There is no background music used anywhere during the feature aside from the opening credits and the levels do tend to fluctuate quite a bit from scene to shining scene but aside from that there isn’t much to whine about here. The audio is fine.

Extras:

Extras are slim on this release, limited to a cast list, some filmographies, a still gallery, trailers for some other Belladonna branded releases, animated menus, a few web links, and chapter selection sub-menus.

Final Thoughts:

Belladonna: No Warning 8 is pretty great. We’re talking about six hours of content here, and while an hour of that is the interview bits that play before (except the second one) and after all of the scenes, that still leaves rooms for a whole lot of hardcore lesbian sex. What we see here is kinky, it’s passionate, it’s creative and it’s hot. It’s well shot, performed by a very attractive and enthusiastic cast all of whom seem completely into what they’re doing. The extras are nothing to write home about but the presentation is nice. This is one of those releases where the content is what matters though, so with that in mind, this two disc set comes highly recommended.
