Audio/Video Quality: Swimsuit Calendar Girls 2013 was presented in anamorphic widescreen as shot by director Toni Ribas for Elegant Angel. I’m more familiar with Toni’s directing works at the Red Light/Platinum X, Private, and other companies than anything recently but he seems to have done a decent job here at capturing the visuals, Asa Akira serving as his production assistant and Michael Cates editing the footage with Ryan Weitz. There were a lot of rough edges here and some shots I really wanted to include as screen captures but it was not the worst I’ve seen in a gonzo outing. There was no company watermark that I could see as with other companies, the fleshtones and lighting again well handled. The aural portion of the show was not attributed to anyone in particular, the music form the montage tease sequences coming from Productiontrax. The vocals were minimal but I could hear the cast when they spoke, some background noticed at times but only barely.

Body of Review: Toni Ribas used to direct for Elegant Angel a long time ago, the man better known for his rough sex performances all over the porn universe these days. His latest directing job for the company is called Swimsuit Calendar Girls 2013, the man picking up the torch to give his own look into the world of hotties prancing around in bikinis before engaging in sexual trysts with a male partner. As basic as the formula has been over the years the series has been around, the casting of ladies like Anikka Albrite, Adrianna Luna, Kortney Kane, Gia DiMarco, and Xcritic blogger Teal Conrad, has always managed to draw some interest, my desire to see what he would do with the premise drawing my attention. Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Kortney Kane, the lean hard body hotty featured on the front cover, was up first as she posed on the beach in her blue patterned bikini, some minor glimpses of her physique allowed before she ended up in the house with James Deen. In its favor, the movie did have a great female cast, it just wasn’t allowed enough freedom to express itself with passion, some of the lackluster performances almost unheard of from the company as recently as earlier this year. In short, Swimsuit Calendar Girls 2013 was not terrible but it was not the refined piece of work it should have been either, the reliance on beauty over heat something the director might want to work on in future projects.
