Audio/Video Quality: Shot in 1.33:1 full frame, Barely Legal School Girls looks impressive on DVD. Flesh tones and colors look good and I didn't notice any compression problems with the DVD. The lighting was very strong throughout the feature which helps deliver a very clear picture. The Dolby Digital 2.0 audio track gets the job done and handles all the dialogue and in-sex action perfectly. Also one note, there isn't any background music used during the feature.

Vince G's Initial Musings: I can't speak for all the fans of the "Barely Legal" series, but ever since the passing of Clive McLean, I've felt the series has declined somewhat. Be it the lack of fresh talent, quality directors or production issues, it just hasn't felt the same. Will Rider is the latest director to tackle the series and I'm hoping he brings his A-game.

Scene One: Starring Leola Jossi, Adrianna Faust, Sunny Lane, Ashley Steel, Valerie Vasquez. Extras: Much to my surprise and in contrary to the back cover art, there are actually a few quality Special Features on this DVD. First up is a great 32 minute "Behind the Scenes" featurette shot by various crew members. This covers not only shooting of several of the films scenes, but provides some great interviews with some of the starlets of Barely Legal School Girls. The girls are a lot fun "off camera" and have some interesting things to say. Also several times during filming, the super sexy Riley Shy strips naked with her back to the camera. There's no apparent reason for this, but I have to admit it's pretty hot from a voyeuristic angle. Next up is a "Director/Producer Interview" with Will Rider and Scott David. It runs about 6 and a half minutes long and the duo dish out some nice information about the production and even some sex advice. On the other hand, they also seem to plug a lot of things for Hustler, which was kind of annoying. To round things off there's a 6 minute slide show that's actually very well done. To wrap things up in the extras department are trailers for Beaver Hunt 3,

Busty Beauties #18. Finally, like most Hustler DVD's, Barely Legal School Girls is very well produced. The menus are easy to navigate and there are plenty of chapter stops placed on the DVD.

Vince G's Final Word: I'm fairly impressed with Will Rider and his take on the "Barely Legal" franchise. The film had attractive, talented young girls and a pretty good theme setting. While a few of the scenes were very strong (especially Daisy and Alex), I felt a few were lacking and hurt the overall production. Barely Legal School Girls attempts to breath new life into the "Barely Legal" series and while it doesn't quite do that, it takes steps in the right direction. Hardcore fans should at least give this a look, as the quality of the DVD and its extras are well worth your time.
