Extras: Say what you will about extras but the best extra is almost always the extra sex footage; especially when it comes to titles released by Evil Angel. In this case, there was about 18 minutes of material presented in four sections, excluding only the second scene with Arianna and Sunny. I could see why the material was edited out in the final cut of the movie but it wasn't bad material by any stretch of the imagination with Joey's scene lasting the longest of the batch (clocking in at around 8 minutes). Audio/Video Quality: Fresh Meat 21 was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as shot by John Leslie for distribution by Evil Angel. As noted previously, John has long since surpassed the desire to show crystal clear visuals, preferring to focus his efforts on the kind of raw energy and rougher edged look that most of his peers only seem to fall into by mistake, though I'll be the first to admit I'd like his movies to revert back to a more traditional & well lit approach if at all possible. The levels of grain, video noise, and even pattern effects were higher than I like to see but the action, however marred this way, were still hot. The composition of the camera angles showed some care put into them, making the ladies look their best virtually always, and this is the strength of John's directorial ability more than anything else (as a producer, he also tends to make fine selections of cast). The 2.0 Dolby Digital audio track was as basic as gonzo porn came be, with limited talking going on outside of John's own directions in the background. The cast could be heard moaning & groaning but this was definitely a limited selection based on audio quality.

Body of Review: John Leslie has long been in porn as a performer but his directing has been even better in the eyes of many so it's no wonder that his lucrative distribution deal with top flight Evil Angel has lasted so long. This has led to a loyal following of fans that appreciate the nuances John provides even when the lighting or other technical values are low end since the raw energy is much more an important factor in his productions. His latest title is Fresh Meat 21: Built Like A Brick…, picking up thematically where Fresh Meat 20 left off. John is a pervert with a camera who stays largely quiet as the scenes develop, typically taking place in the darker areas of the large house he used in most of the scenes. The choice of cast enhanced the dynamic of the scenes substantially this time with not a single scene left behind as a result, showing one of his strongest works in a while. Here's a look at the scenes by cast and actions, noting that the scenes varied more than a little from one another, not just in the part of the house but in who did what to whom and how, using no condoms as a result:

It wasn't cookie cutter porn, nor was it supposed to be, marking a title that might work for many of you jaded on the hordes of titles flooding the marketplace with little to distinguish them from one another.
