Audio/Video Quality: Teen Tryouts: Audition 44 was presented in the usual 1.33:1 ratio full frame color as shot by some unnamed director for distribution by Devil's Films. The show must've been shot in Rumania or close to it considering where all the women came from but I have to admit that the lighting was decent and left little to the imagination. This caused the movie to have little grain and video noise, making me happy although the composition of the shots wasn't always flattering to the cast. There weren't many compression artifacts observed so the DVD mastering seemed okay too. The stereo English audio track was fairly weak with the vocals sounding as if recorded on a home camcorder and edited in with a minimally stereo score but there was nothing significant about either.

Body of Review: While I've long been known for enjoyed seasoned gals in porn (not grannies but gals older than 25 who've learned to keep up with skill instead of relying on youth to solve their problems), I also find a fair amount of porn that focuses on women in their teenage years worth a look. Such was the case with Teen Tryouts: Audition 44: Christmas Edition, a title directed by an unknown guy in Europe who thought the hookers he used could claim to be 19 and that we, the audience, would believe them. Lack of believability aside, this was the first volume of the series I've watched and it being the Christmas edition, I watched it on the holiday to invoke a spirit of the season. Here's a quick breakdown of the action by cast (as credited) and action, noting that most of the women did anal sex:

Scene One: Adriana, a 19 year old gal from Rumania in her 1st scene ("kind of"), was up first on a bed in a generic room dressed in a Christmas cap and red t-shirt. She was okay looking and took care of "two nice German boys" that weren't credited, who wore similar hats as they whipped out their meat for the young gal to suck on. In all, it wasn't a terrible scene but it wasn't anything special either. There was oral, vaginal, anal and lost of taste testing with her blemished bottom in full view.

Scene Three: Jenifer, a 19 year old pixie looking gal, and Izabella, the 20 year old hotty on the front DVD cover, were up next on a couch in their festive attire. They were also from Rumania and claimed it was difficult to find a boyfriend there so they were trolling for man meat on Christmas day. In all, it was an okay way to end the show but the merits of any particular scene were outweighed by the overall weaknesses.

Summary: Teen Tryouts: Audition 44 was good enough to warrant a single viewing but only a couple of the gals showed enough potential that I'd want to revisit their performances if they somehow buck the odds and make it big in porn. That being the case, I rated it as a Rent It for what it did have to offer though it lacked in technical matters, extras and enthusiasm by most of the cast. I have no idea if the entire series is better or worse than this one but I know it had some potential for showcasing foreign gals that most of us haven't seen so fans of fresher women (in terms of how many pornos they've shot) might want to check this one out more regularly.
