Extras: The best extra was the 28:24 minute long Behind the Scenes feature, the footage comprised of a series of post sex interviews with some of the cast where the idea that each pairing was a first and wanted by the cast. There was then a sex act menu, a photogallery, some trailers, spam and company information. Each of the interviews was different but allowed the cast and director put their scene in context as well as allow them to expound on various topics so don’t miss it.

Audio/Video Quality: A Mother Daughter Thing was presented in anamorphic widescreen as shot by director Jacky St. James for Digital Sin under her now-established Tabu Tales line. The camera operators were Eddie Powell and Paul Woodcrest this time, both of them providing the needed visual elements to make the production work best. It was clear that a lot of work went into the movie and it looked really good, the editing by Gabrielle Anex and lighting helping a bunch. There was a company watermark in the lower right corner of the screen but it was very light and unobtrusive so few should complain. The aural components were well done too, the quality of the stereo English presentation combining clear vocals, appropriate ambient sounds, and a mixture of well handled musical pieces to work really well.

Body of Review: Jacky St. James and her work with Eddie Powell at Digital Sin in the “Tabu Tales” line has been much more consistent than titles from other companies, to the point where I often wonder if this dynamic duo is so good that the others are all fighting for second place. That said, the latest in for review called A Mother Daughter Thing, this time addressing the flip side of the sexual coin from the last volume by looking at lesbian action, my appreciation that the series has yet to go further (gay or TS) where I’d hand if off for another to review. The four trysts paired curvier MILFs with leaner youngsters, the theme of step parents having sex with willing participants perhaps less creepy to some when a female parent is involved. With the technical crew established as the best in the jizz biz (for the genre at least), my eye turned to who the performers were and I am happy to say that hotties like Julia Ann, Adriana Chechik, Dakota Skye, and Dani Daniels were included in the mix, each vignette written by the talented director’s fertile imagination.

The back cover described the movie like this: “A woman supports her spoiled stepdaughter's lavish lifestyle in the hopes of keeping their lesbian affair a secret. Angry about her father remarrying, a young woman sets out to enact revenge on her stepmother, but soon finds herself swept up in a web of seduction. A Columbian woman's sexual frustration reaches a breaking point when language barriers prevent her stepdaughter from understanding her verbal advances. Hidden passions ignite when a mother asks her stepdaughter to undress and model a new outfit for her.” Here’s a brief look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that no condoms were used for those still interested:

Scene One: Dani Daniels, a sexy babe with pretty eyes by any standard, was up with Elexis Monroe, the younger gal seducing the older lady as part of a plan for blackmail. The opening sexual montage for the tryst was curiously shot in how it led into the actual full scene, Elexis masturbating at the thought of Dani leading the gal to walk in on her for more. They ended up in bed where some passionate kissing and hand to gland play ensued, the gash gobbling and tribbing including some foot play. I’m not into blackmail scenes so it did not work as well for me as usual, but Dani was still smoking hot.

Scene Two: Sara Luvv, a physically appealing gal with an all natural body, was up next with Spanish speaking Ariella Ferrera, the busty brunette coming onto her in her native tongue though Sara did not speak it. The subtitles were fun and funny at the same time, Sara agreeing to a physical encounter without realizing it which led to Ariella pouncing on her in the shower. Despite Sara’s protests, Ariella lathered her up and pleasured her, spending some ample time on Sara’s perky ass before they ended up in bed together. Ariella’s oral skills were well defined and seemed to generate a lot of heat, Sara finding much to like as she overcame her resistance to Ariella’s obvious “cultural differences”. The experienced lady then started dry humping Sara as they kissed, Sara finding her implanted boobs too much to resist though only briefly going down on her step mother. They rubbed boxes together a lot too, some more kissing leading the scene to end.

Scene Three: Adriana Chechik, a beautiful brunette with sparklingly attractive eyes, was up next with Dana DeArmond, the seasoned extreme queen portraying a completely different role from norm in that she was considered Adriana’s best pal in the world and really nice, considerate, and pleasant. Dana bought her a sleek dress to go to a function with her, Adriana making it clear enough that she was attracted to women as part of the role, moving in to kiss Dana which took her by surprise. Both of them let loose from there and while this was a far, far cry from some Dana’s ultra hardcore antics for some of the gonzo greats, the tender kissing led to a playful sense of urgency to take off their form fitting outfits and go at each other orally on the brown leather couch. Dana largely took charge from that point on, savoring her youthful charge in the first of the scenes that felt “right” for lack of a better term, the previous two certainly fine attempts to instill some lesbian heat but not quite there in terms of Jacky’s usual excellence. Nitpicking aside, Dana’s eye contact was superior and she engaged all her senses with Adriana, the youngster playing her role nearly as well, some fingering and rimming as they continued to get each other off including tribbing and foot fetish action as well. For me then, time flew as the scene played out, the playful frolicking remaining sensual rather than getting really hardcore.

Scene Four: Dakota Skye, the impossibly cute young blond seen on the left side of the front cover, was up last with curvy hotty Julia Ann, the wonderfully sexy MILF shown on the right side of the cover. The dynamic here was markedly different in that it was a contest of wills playing out, Dakota going out of her way to make Julia’s life miserable in any petty way she could when Julia caught her dry fucking her pillow. The two shared words and Dakota admitted she was doing to in order to make sure Julia smelled her pussy as she slept, Julia actually liking the idea as she began to dominate the perky little babe. Julia sat on her face and found out Dakota loved pussy too, the older woman soon gobbling Dakota’s bald beaver which helped give both of them a sheen of sweat on their body. The scene turned increasingly tender though Julia remained in charge, I half expected some NS Novelty toys to come out of the nightstand for them to use on each other. By the time they finished rubbing wet pussies together, they were closer to being equals in giving head, Dakota more openly sucking Julia’s pussy and ass, the older woman becoming louder in her vocal appreciation of the tryst but the scene lacked closure of where they stood afterward.

Summary: A Mother Daughter Thing by director Jacky St. James for Digital Sin had decent casting in the scenes, upscale technical values, and four creative scripts going for it, the casts handling the dramatic material better than I see elsewhere at this writing. I know some out there prefer the brighter themes of Jacky’s Romance lines to the forbidden fruit aspects of Tabu Tales but the darker elements give more to work with and remain more interesting over time, enhancing replay value for many and strokability for others. This time, the series of vignettes earned a rating of Recommended courtesy of efforts in front and behind the camera. With older women such as Julia Ann, Dana DeArmond matched up with ladies like Sara Luvv, Adriana Chechik, and Dani Daniels; the sexual dynamics involved seemed to be just fine, my personal preference for older women seducing younger men not in play this time. In short, I liked A Mother Daughter Thing more than I thought I would going into it fresh, Jacky sure exploring many possible combinations in these volumes of the series by gearing them toward one group or another (Father’s Day was a hit with some of my friends, for example) so check it out and see what you think.
