Audio/Video Quality: I thought all technical aspects of this dvd were truly
exceptional and a lot of work was obviously put into them. The video looked
great and the audio sounded swell. The music was also very well done.

Body of Review: The Sopornos 2 is a well made take off of HBO's series The
Soprano's. It deals with sex and gangsters in a really fun way. It
chronicles the life of a gangster, Rob, and all those around him who are
working various angles. This was one of my favorite VCA movies in a long time (other than several of the Jim Holliday releases) and it's just as fresh today as when I first saw it. I just bought volume 3 and hope to pick up the original in the future.

It had great extra's, excellent sex, and exceptional technical values-all of
which combined to make for a top notch movie. Even the nonsex parts were
good which has been increasingly rare in this day of "churn them out porn"
productions. There were seven sex scenes which included a few anal, a DP,
and all the standard types of sex one would expect from a modern porn movie.
The audio commentary by Rob and James (the director and producer who also
act in the movie) revealed a lot of funny information which added to the replay value. Here's a breakdown of the scenes:

Scene One: Juliet gave William a BJ at the topless club while Lola, a super
hotty, had sex with frogbelly white Tony. The sex between Lola and Tony was
really hot. Yum!

Scene Two: In a flashback sequence, we see Jewel and Samantha in jail. The
two acted catty toward one another and then, this being a porn movie, screwed.
It was very warm and fun. If I had to go to jail, I'd want to share a cell
with these two.

Scene Three: Jewel took on Herschel in an attempt, it seemed, to hedge her
bets in case the psycho gangster, played by Rob, had an accident. Herschel
had convinced Rob to get into the porn business with James as a director who
owed him money. The sex was really good and the energy quotient was high.

Scene Four: This was on the set of the porn movie and has Heather and Adam
screw in a industrial set of sorts. It was fairly warm and would've been
better had there been fewer breaks between the movie and the sex. It made
for a better movie but weaker sex in this instance.

Scene Five: Bridgette and Tony had sex in the dressing room of the porn
shoot. He was a gangster and she was one of the cast. The sex was good and the
commentary very funny. Both Rob and James told how Bridgette's
husband told them that his wife would do anything they wanted. It included a
story of how she took an entire can of pork & beans into her ass and the
guys made endless jokes about it. They were pretty harsh about her looks as
well, mentioning her large implants and how they'd kill a guy who
screwed around with their wives.

Scene Six: After the gangsters had a meeting with Gene, telling him that AVN
better give a good review to the movie, or else, Jewel had sex with two
cops, Alec and Joey, on a bed. She took them on in a variety of positions
including a hot DP. The sex was very hot. Gene was a little bit wooden
playing himself but after watching the Behind the Scenes feature, it seemed
obvious that Rob and James didn't give the character actors much room to
improvise.

Scene Seven: Kendra and Tyce had sex in the kitchen of the strip club. The
sex was warm and the scene ended when Rob found the two together. She was the
wife of Rob's partner and he took care of Tyce, who won't be in the sequel.

Summary: This is one of those rare porn movies that entertains on multiple
levels. You get hot sex by hot women having fun as well as a good take off
on all the crime movies of the last 10 or so years. It's obvious that James
is a fan of the movie Goodfella's since half the words in the script are
"fuck" yet he remains true to the TV show this is based on as well.

The extra's are excellent and add a lot of value to those of us wise enough
to watch them. The commentary alone is worth the price of admission since it
has so much humor. So, for under $20, you really can't go wrong. I've heard that the original stuck closer to parodying the HBO series but this one was a very well made effort regardless.

Note to VCA: Yeah! This is more like what I expect from you guys! Great
extra's, a great movie and hot sex all rolled into one. A few of the scenes
were a bit darkly lit-this was done for the atmosphere-and there were a few
minor problems, but overall this one was really good. Thanks!
