Extra's: For most people, the bonus scene from Gossip between Jada Fire and Kris Knight that I detailed below will be the best extra as it lasted long enough to appreciate had some decent action as described below. For me, the short Behind the Scenes of Black and White in Color by the lovely Kylie Ireland was better since it was made specifically for the movie and had interviews of the ladies for fans to appreciate. Kylie has proven herself as a capable director so her playing second fiddle to partner Eli was understandable and added some value with the 14.5 minute long feature. There was also two promotional reels (from 2005 and 2006), photogalleries and star galleries to enjoy, DVD ROM materials like Wicked Awards and Nominations, company profile, casino game, and desktops, a DVD catalog, some spam, and trailers to shows like Fuck, The Visitors, Eternity, Camp Cuddly Pines, Hook Ups, Curse Eternal, and others that haven't been released yet. Lastly, the box for the show was very appealing cardboard slipcase with a true double sided cover for the DVD.

Audio/Video Quality: Black and White in Color was presented in the usual 1.85:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Eli Cross for Wicked Pictures. The movie was mostly a series of stylish vignettes that allowed Eli to give Wicked exactly what they asked for; a modest interracial movie for couples that didn't go out of it's way to piss anyone off. The attention to lighting and composition offered up the cast nicely, enhancing the look of the ladies as expected while reducing the levels of grain and video noise to negligible levels. There were no compression artifacts and the overall visuals weren't bad but I prefer more solid lighting to truly showcase the gals. The audio was presented in 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround English with no separation between the channels and the vocals plainly understandable if not optimal. The audio sounded somewhat hollow on the vocals and the music wasn't very helpful to me but the usual lack of separation between the channels and limited dynamic range were expected so don't get it for the audio. While a far cry from his recent blockbuster smash hit Corruption in terms of scope and design, it was okay as far as technical values go.

Body of Review: Eli Cross is currently reveling in the success of his movie Corruption but he has worked for a number of other companies such as Wicked Pictures. His latest release for the company was an interracial vignette release called Black and White in Color; a selection of seven scenes using a variety of partners from white and black races in numerous permutations. While far less ambitious than previous efforts by the director, there was enough material here to keep casual fans of interracial happy and considering Wicked's limited forays into this realm, it should be noted that this could be considered a step forward for the company in terms of expanding their repertoire so I continued to watch even as it became clear that this was designed more for those without much background in porn than seasoned viewers like myself. If you're still interested, here's a quick look at the scenes by cast and action, noting that condoms were used in all the scenes:

Scene One: Trina Michaels, a curvy blonde in fetish attire, started out the movie in a metal cage in Kylie and Eli's downtown studio as Sledge Hammer freed her from her trap. In a grateful mood, she rewarded him with a fair hummer before he paddled her. He then screwed her vaginally and anally, as she eventually became active and rode him. The number of positions was limited and it ended when she took the facial, providing a scene that newcomers to porn may enjoy more than I did.

This was another erotic bit of fluff that will serve the voyeur well enough. Scene Seven: Haley Scott, Jada Fire, De Shaun Hayes, and Ace, were up last in a living room where Jada proved to be the sexual aggressor; first climbing into the lap of her partner and then moving over to Haley for some limited lesbian action. This was another scene where the individuals have been in far better scenes, ending far too soon as the men popped too fast (ending with a small cumswapping bit with Haley depositing the loads to Jada's waiting mouth).

Bonus Scene: Gossip: "Jada Fire, wearing a sheer blue nightie in her candle lit living room, was up next with Kris Knight who was home after a six month rotation in the army. He was in full dress uniform and the two tore each other's clothes off though she was the more active of the two by far during the preliminaries. Okay, having been there, I didn't find it believable since he acted like he had been back from a trip to the grocery store for tampons or something but I like Jada's active oral so I was willing to cut him some slack. Her teasing oral was far better than the light touch used in the previous scene and it's always nice to see her titty fuck someone. That led to them boning vaginally and anally, her doing most of the work before he jerked out a tiny facial to her mouth. By the looks of it, he must've found some harem girls overseas and her discussion about "round one" and "six months of pent up…you know" sounded lame as a result. The scene succeeded in spite of him rather than because of his efforts (or lack there of)."

Summary: Black and White in Color was a modest effort by director Eli Cross for Wicked Pictures that focused on interracial action. The cast was appealing enough and the technical values were well handled by the majority of scenes lacked enough spark, heat, and chemistry for me to truly enjoy very much. As such, the best this one could be rated is as a Rent It unless you simply don't watch much porn. In short, Black and White in Color was pretty much what I expected it to be, even given the talents of the director and his competent staff. There are better titles if you want more heated action but this was fairly tame by porn standards so it is best suited for those that are fans of the cast or less familiar with adult material in general.
