Extras: The separate extras included a cast list, a company promotional trailer, filmographies, and some websites. Unlike most companies, Aiden adds the behind the scenes footage into the movie itself, the director recently asking the folks at AVN to expand their award categories to provide an award for “best BTS” but there was not as much this time to appreciate.

Audio/Video Quality: Analmals was presented in the usual 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen color as shot by director Aiden Riley for Evil Angel. The camera work in the single disc outing seemed to rely on a single camera shooting the trysts and warming up material, the inclusion of playful activities around the house just icing an expected touch. The extra compression used to stuff so much footage on the single disc caused some problems, more compression artifacts when displayed on a bigger screen and a higher level of other issues arising but for those watching on computers it should suffice. The lighting varied per scene but the main action could be seen though it was far too strong so often that the production was among Aiden’s worst looking shows ever with the cast looking washed out in terms of flesh tones. There was a company watermark located on the lower right corner for those keeping track but it was unobtrusive to me and I was paying attention. In any case, the audio was presented in a similar fashion with a 2.0 Dolby Digital English offering that sounded hollow with no separation between the channels and no music to bore you with during the sex. Still, it was similar to most gonzo titles out at this time, the sonic portion less important to most fans than the visuals.

Body of Review: Aiden Riley is one of the directors at Evil Angel that is toughest to pin down in terms of his specific niche, his appreciation for pushing the limits learned from his wife and devotion to extreme kink well noted in past reviews.
