Extras: For some of you, the 34:13 minute long bonus scene between AJ Bailey and Nick Manning from Gritty, will be the best extra. Though thematically unrelated to the current production, it starred AJ and that will work for fans that haven’t seen it so I described it in detail below. There was also a 7:29 minute long Behind the Scenes feature by Mike Marovich, the ladies overdoing it a bit but the production still offering some fun. Audio/Video Quality: Feet First was presented in a 1.78:1 ratio anamorphic widescreen color it was shot in by director B. Skow for Vivid Entertainment using the standard definition MPEG-2 codec in 480 resolution for this DVD. The flick was shot in 1080i/60 high definition awhile back, though presented in the SD format in a short feature playing off his skills best. The lighting was well handled and this added to the pleasure of watching the gals in play as the lengthy scenes gave them enough freedom to explore their sexuality. The composition of the camera angles was almost always optimal this time, Skow seeing fit to try and enhance the look of the ladies at every turn as possible, the minor grain not bothering me nearly as much as it could have in less capable hands. The fleshtones were usually accurate too and the DVD mastering was well done (the bitrate hovering around 4.0 Mbps), even if the lighting was off at times (the company watermark will be bothersome to some out there but only some given its location). At times there appeared to be multiple cameras used on some scenes, the equipment not matched up so the edits were more readily apparent, a soft haze included at times that I could not quite explain. The audio was presented in a 2.0 Dolby Digital English (in 256 Kbps with a 48 kHz sampling rate) offering with the vocals sounding flat and the music pretty decent. The aural qualities of the movie appeared to offer very limited separation and dynamic range, the vocals easily heard in most cases and mixed in with the ambient noises fairly well.

Body of Review: Vivid Entertainment has long been thought of as a bastion of couples-friendly porn though director B. Skow has certainly done his part to change the minds of many in recent years with his many heated gonzo works for them. Throughout 2010, the company has spent more time promoting their celebrity releases, enter the parody world with a big splash, and seen fit to try a variety of specialty niche titles in addition to their gonzo efforts and features. The latest niche title on the market is Feet First, a selection of five scenes focusing on foot fetish sexual encounters, two of them led by attractive former contract performer A.J. Bailey. While I’m not a major connoisseur of this fetish, there was ample other action solid enough to make this worth checking into even for those not dedicated to the specialty, all of the women attractive enough to be strokable as far as I’m concerned. In terms of strokability, replay value, and overall appeal to a general audience, much will still depend upon your taste in the ladies but I felt a rating of Recommended or better was fair for general audiences. In short then, Feet First catered to a specialty market but did so in such a manner that the average porn loving fan will not likely be alienated from the kink material displayed, a solid balance worthy of inclusion in any smutty library.
