The Movie: - John "A Hidden Pleasure is #13 in Private's long running Tropical series. Directed by Alessandro del Mar, it won him the Best Director award at the 2003 Brussels Erotic Festival. It features some of Private's better known girls, along with a few relative newcomers.90 minutes

Audio/Video: - John There are a multitude of spoken languages (English, German, Spanish, French, Italian) and subtitles available (Dutch, Danish, Swedish, Portuguese, Brazilian, Polish & Greek.) Unfortunately there are no English subtitles available, which would be nice considering that most of the actors are fresh from eastern Europe and have thick accents. Video is presented in 16:9 anamorphic widescreen, and is of very high quality.

Extras: - John The extras on this disc include a 10 Minute Making Of, Trailer, a Photobook, Cast Listing, Notes and Trailers for six other releases. The documentary is actually pretty interesting, and well directed. Adult (and mainstream) films tend to have long, dull "making ofs" that seem to run on forever. I actually watched this one, and wasn't bored, kudos for del Mar.

Scene 1: -Trixie Christina Bella

Introduction: The scene opens with a shot of a hot girl walking hand in hand with two seemingly unattractive guys. Walking eerily close to them is a greasy, dorky looking man playing pocket pool. She is wearing a small white bikini. She starts making out with the two guys as the pervert watching jerks off in some palm trees. The guys she is with are skanky looking, the voyeur is better looking, but still greasy looking. She gives then both hand jobs and blowjobs. She stares at the camera a lot. She does reverse cowgirl while giving the other guy a handjob and blowjob. The voyeur is still up in the palm tree. The she gives the other guy a BJ. The guy having sex with her sees the pervert and tells the other guy to get the cops. It is hard to understand what they are saying, and as stated earlier, there are no English subtitles and the actors/actresses have very thick accents. The naked guy and the other guys tackle the voyeur in the palm trees (he just pushes the girls he's having sex with off.) Then they go back to having sex. Cowgirl and giving the other guy a BJ then double penetration in cowgirl and reverse cowgirl with manual clit stimulation. She is pretty much shaved down there, dark hair, tan, accent, nice lean body, abs, accent, nice makeup and it's hard to tell if she has implants. Ends with her staring at the camera and getting a double facial. A lot of the girls in this film have the bad habit of looking directly into the camera, which is not something I like in my porn.

Scene 2: - Trixie Jessica May

The voyeur is met by a black man who says he can make him invisible, but once he becomes invisible and can't be made visible again. The black man rubs his face and says he is now invisible. Cuts to scene with pool with the same chick and dudes from before. One of the guy's wife is off at the beach having sex with another man. She is a tall blonde with a thick accent and has nice natural breasts. The guy she's with is not very good looking, and I'm not fond of the belly ring or the floral shorts. The scenery in this scene if very nice, with good lighting for an outdoor shot. The waves rolling over them makes for a nice effect. The lighting changes from day to night throughout this scene, but I fell that this is an intentional artistic effect, rather than a continuity problem. Other than the continuity problems, the cinematography in this scene is excellent.

Scene 3: - Trixie Cindy Lord and Jessica May



Our tag team partners are discussing the voyeur while eating dinner with the Cindy and Jessica. While they're eating another guy shows up with Cindy Lord. Cindy's wearing cute read shorts and a red tank top. Our tag team partners take her to the pool and the scene changes to Jessica May making out with a new guy with the voyeur blatantly standing behind them in the bushes. Jessica gives the guy a hand job and they do it doggie style. She shows a lot of enthusiasm for her work, which makes her scenes enjoyable. The scene switches back and forth between Jessica and Cindy several times and we get to see them both in reverse cowgirl and see Cindy please both guys at once. The scene ends with Cindy getting a DP and a Double Facial and Jessica having her guy come in her hand (hey! Something other than a facial!.) Overall I thought the scene was okay, but I would have preferred a simple continuous sex scene rather than the switching between the two. The switching between the two sexual interactions seemed to make the scenes less intense.

Scene 4: - John Tina Crystal

Our voyeur finally realizes that he really is invisible, and not only that but no one can see or hear him either! He provides some comic relief with his dorky antics and Trixie says he reminds her of Robert Bennini (I half expected him to shout "Sex is Beautiful!".) He then proceeds to grope Tina Crystal, who's sleeping in a lawn chair. He goes down on her and force himself into her mouth. He has sex while she "sleeps" and Trixie pointed out that this was non-consensual and she didn't like it very much. I personally don't like this scene much either, and thought they should've had him remain an observer, rather than a participant.

Scene 5: - John Alissa and Alexa

Our voyeur is so excited about his invincibility, he runs off when the islander tries to give him and important warning. We are then treated to Alissa and Alexa each handling one of the guys from earlier. These girls are the two best looking in the films, and del Mar did a good job directing this scene. He managed to frame both of the couple (who were having sex a good distance apart) in the same frame and make it look very interesting through how he focused the camera. Our voyeur joins in of course, and the scene and movie end with the girls getting facials and the voyeur wishing he'd paid more attention to the islander's advice.

Conclusion: - Trixie I'd say Rent this title, it's okay for a single watching, but unless you have a thing for one of the cast, you'd probably not want to watch it twice. The whole non-consensual sex sort of turned me off, but if you have voyeur fantasies, this might be for you. If you're looking for something couple friendly, I'd recommend looking into some of the other Private releases, as they're usually a little better than this.
