(Los Angeles, CA / January 2, 2019) — Whitney Wright has been honored with six XBIZ Awards nominations for excellence in adult filmmaking for the year 2019.
The Oklahoma-born star, who entered the industry in 2016, is nominated in the categories of Female Performer of the Year, Best Actress – Couples-Themed Release (for Wicked Pictures’ Cursed and Missa X’s The Governess), Best Sex Scene – Couples-Themed Release (with Ryan McLane for Cursed), Best Actress – Taboo Release (for Pure Taboo’s A Mother’s Choice) and Best Sex Scene – All-Girl for her work with Jill Kassidy in The Governess.
“Thank you so much to XBIZ for these nominations, and to Pure Taboo, Wicked Pictures and Missa X for casting me in your films and helping me grow as an actress,” said Wright, who received her very first XBIZ nomination last year for Best New Starlet.
“Congratulations are also in order to my fellow nominees who have worked very hard for their nominations as well… it takes a lot of people to make these scenes successful and I’m grateful to work amongst them every day in this very special, one-of-a-kind industry.”

ABOUT WHITNEY WRIGHT:
Adult performer Whitney Wright is one of the newest faces in the industry, and her reputation as a star on the rise is no surprise: the 26-year old raven-haired, green-eyed, all-natural beauty of Native American-Welsh descent has quickly become a favorite of porn fans – and Porn Valley studios – in a remarkably short period of time.
The star of more than 60 adult films for the industry’s top studios and content sites, launched her onscreen career in September 2016 after pursuing an education in the medical/nursing field and feature dancing at clubs in her native Oklahoma City. The shift in professions has so far paid off, and Whitney has quickly built a solid fan base and respected status amongst her industry peers, earning a Best New Starlet AVN Award nomination for 2018. “This business has been a whirlwind of excitement and opportunities,” says Whitney. “I’m just enjoying the ride.”
