The Black.com official Twitter appeared to have changed hands for more than ten hours. The “hackers” demanded that Blacked.com book Brandi Love in a new scene to regain control of their Twitter account.
Many wondered if it were a real hack or an elaborate publicity stunt.
Normally when a popular page gets hacked, Twitter takes the page down. Yet the “hacked” version stayed up all day long.
Then without issue, Blacked.com took control of the page again and posted a video from Brandi Love herself saying she was making a return.
So was it a real hacking, or was it a publicity stunt?
All signs are pointing to it being a stunt.
Besides the length of time, the “hacked” page remained up. You will notice that accounts the “hacked” account retweeted all trade back to them. This page, for example, was created just a few months ago and is nothing but a stream of Blacked or Blacked Raw tweets.
Let’s hope I’m wrong and someone in their marketing department didn’t think this was a good idea.
We reached out to our friends over at Vixen Media Group for a statement but have yet to hear back.
We’ll keep you updated as new information becomes available on the Blacked.com Twitter hack.
