Twitter adds new “Happening Now” feature

SOCIAL MEDIA

Twitter adds new “Happening Now” feature to allow users to easily find “Spaces” going on right now.

Twitter Spaces is a new feature that allows users to have live audio conversations on the platform. Users can host these conversations in an audio chat room called a “Space” and invite other users to participate.

Think of “Spaces” as Twitter’s answer to Clubhouse which blew up in popularity during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The newest feature, which helps users find interesting live chats going on right that moment, is being rolled out to a select few users at first and should be more widely available for all users in the near future.

And for now “Happening Now” seems to only be available on Twitter’s mobile app.

If the new HAPPENING NOW feature is available to you, you’ll find it on the very bottom of your screen when you log into the Twitter app.  It’s the 4 little dots located to the right of the “search” icon and to the left of the notification bell.
