Content creator Marcela Alonso who shot to fame when her story went viral about how she pays for her daughter’s law school with her OnlyFans money, learned today that Truth Social may say they are all about free speech but that apparently doesn’t apply to sex workers.
“I created the account just to reserve my name. I put up two photos, which were Instagram friendly, and then added a bio that said Latina MILF. Next thing you know my account got banned. I don’t understand how a platform can claim to care about free speech but then exclude an entire portion of the population based on their jobs.
I didn’t post nudes. I didn’t post links to adult content. I just don’t get it. I only got on this site to save my name , did not post anything political just my name and two pics which are on twitter,” Marcela tells Fleshbot.com.
This makes me worry about the future of Twitter under Elon Musk’s leadership. He too claims to be all about free speech, but he’s also a known conservative who tends to shy away from the support of sex workers.
I hope that isn’t the case but for now, it might be time to pay special attention to the few rules Twitter does give us.
When asked, Elon Mush said this is how he defines free speech —
By “free speech”, I simply mean that which matches the law. I am against censorship that goes far beyond the law. If people want less free speech, they will ask the government to pass laws to that effect. Therefore, going beyond the law is contrary to the will of the people.
