CYBERSPACE – The Transgender Erotica Awards announced its intention to produce its 2020 awards segment as a livestreamed online event after being forced to cancel its Hollywood show last month due to COVID-19 gathering restrictions. The event, produced by Grooby, will be broadcast on May 10th, 2020 at 7pm PST exclusively at Grooby247.com and available on various platforms at a later date.
“It’s a great shame that we’ve had to cancel the live event, but with open-ended travel and event restrictions in place, as well as many attendees who’ve informed us that they couldn’t afford to come back out for a rescheduled show, we were left with no other choice,” says Grooby CEO, Steven Grooby. “We’re thankful to all those involved for being so understanding at this time and we aim to put on a fun, and exciting show as the winners are announced by a selection of presenters from across the adult industry. I hope this can bring a little entertainment to those stuck at home, as well as highlight the many trans girls working in the adult industry at this time.”
Like other in-person events in Los Angeles, the 2020 TEAs were canceled at the last minute per recommendation of Governor Gavin Newsom’s guidelines for social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic.
