The Hunger, the bold and psychologically charged feature directed by Claudia Ross, written by Axel Braun, and released by Wicked Pictures, has been honored with the Best Feature Release award at the 33rd Annual NightMoves Awards in Tampa, Florida.

The Emperor’s Club was filled to capacity on Sunday, October 12, as fans, stars, and industry leaders gathered for the long-running celebration of adult entertainment excellence. Hosted by superstar Lauren Phillips and performer/rapper Flynt Dominick, the event was a vibrant showcase of artistry and talent, featuring electrifying performances from the Showgirl Invitational and the presentation of the brand-new Adult Legend Award to Braun.

A highly psychological erotic drama, The Hunger marked the directorial debut of Ross, one of the industry’s most exciting new voices behind the camera. Her film follows Lauren (Emma Hix), a woman whose seemingly perfect life is overshadowed by an insatiable and uncontrollable desire she calls “The Hunger.” Despite her loving marriage, she is driven by compulsive sexual impulses that lead her into increasingly dangerous encounters with strangers.

The Hunger explores the tension between power and submission, control and chaos, attraction and desire — themes that blur the line between pleasure and pain, fulfillment and loss. Ross’s direction brings a distinct perspective to the character-driven narrative, while James Avalon’s stylish cinematography elevates every scene, lending the film a visual sophistication that perfectly complements its provocative storytelling.
