The Hunger From Claudia Ross Wins Best Feature Release at NightMoves Awards

The Emperor’s Club was filled to capacity on Sunday, October 12, as fans, stars, and industry leaders gathered for the long-running celebration of adult entertainment excellence. Hosted by superstar Lauren Phillips and performer/rapper Flynt Dominick, the event was a vibrant showcase of artistry and talent, featuring electrifying performances from the Showgirl Invitational and the presentation of the brand-new Adult Legend Award to Braun.

A highly psychological erotic drama, The Hunger marked the directorial debut of Ross, one of the industry’s most exciting new voices behind the camera. Her film follows Lauren (Emma Hix), a woman whose seemingly perfect life is overshadowed by an insatiable and uncontrollable desire she calls “The Hunger.” Despite her loving marriage, she is driven by compulsive sexual impulses that lead her into increasingly dangerous encounters with strangers.

The Hunger explores the tension between power and submission, control and chaos, attraction and desire — themes that blur the line between pleasure and pain, fulfillment and loss. Ross’s direction brings a distinct perspective to the character-driven narrative, while James Avalon’s stylish cinematography elevates every scene, lending the film a visual sophistication that perfectly complements its provocative storytelling.

“This win is incredibly meaningful to me,” said Ross. “The Hunger was a true labor of love  — a story that explores desire, vulnerability, and the complexities of human connection. Every member of the cast and crew brought extraordinary dedication to it, and I’m grateful to Wicked for believing in our vision from the very start. To see that collaboration and creative risk recognized by NightMoves is both humbling and inspiring.”

Claudia Ross’ debut as a director with The Hunger marks a bold new chapter in her career, showcasing her distinct vision and mastery of storytelling. The NightMoves win for Best Feature Release is a testament to her ability to craft compelling, provocative narratives that resonate with both critics and audiences alike, establishing her as one of the industry’s most exciting auteurs.
