Sex positive podcast The Dildo Whisperer has secured its first nomination for an AVN Fan Award, landing a spot in the Favorite Adult Podcast category. You can vote at avn.com/awards/voting/favorite-adult-podcast.

The nomination places the show among fan-selected contenders tied to the annual AVN Awards, with public voting now open. Fans may cast votes once per day through January 24 at 3 p.m. Pacific Time.

Hosted by longtime broadcaster Romaine Patterson, The Dildo Whisperer focuses on open conversations around sex, consent, relationships, and the adult industry. Patterson said the nomination represents a significant milestone in her more than two-decade broadcasting career.

“To be nominated for an AVN Fan Award is honestly one of the biggest thrills in my 20 plus year career in broadcasting,” Patterson said in a statement. “To be nominated for my podcast The Dildo Whisperer is the cherry on top. The sex industry has been such a huge part of my journey as a broadcaster, and to be honored in this way is an absolute treat.”

Patterson noted that she has interviewed a wide range of adult performers over the years and has worked with numerous sex toy brands and distributors. She described the podcast as a passion project designed to educate and entertain listeners while promoting healthy and informed approaches to sexuality.

“From dildos to consent, no topic is off limits on The Dildo Whisperer,” she said. “If you have a question, we will provide the answer. Our goal is to ensure our listeners are having fun, sexy, and healthy sex lives in whatever form that takes.”
