Ricky Greenwood & His Team Score Nominations for an Unprecedented 59 AVN Awards
(Hollywood, CA) Award-winning French Canadian adult director and writer Ricky Greenwood and his team scored a total of 59 2022 AVN Awards nominations, setting a personal best record.
Many of Ricky Greenwood’s projects were recognized by the AVN Awards for their outstanding merit, along with his casts and behind-the-scenes professionals.
Ricky scored some of the biggest and best awards nominations, including Director of the Year, Best Directing – Narrative Production MissaX’s Blue Moon Rising, and Grand Reel for MissaX’s Blue Moon Rising and Under the Veil.
His featurette work, series, and channels were also recognized and received multiple nominations. MissaX’s The Cure and A Second Chance received Best Featurette noms. Both Adult Time’s Sweet Sweet Sally Mae and AllHerLuv’s Written in the Stars are up for Best Lesbian Movie or Limited Series.
Family Sinner’s Daddy’s Girl scored Best Ingenue Series or Channel, Mothers & Stepsons captured Best MILF/Mixed-Age Fantasy Series or Channel, Mothers & Stepsons 5 nabbed Best MILF Movie or Limited Series, and Family Cheaters garnered Best Taboo Relations Movie or Limited Series noms. And Ricky’s work for Transensual has him up for Best Trans Movie or Limited Series for My TS Stepmom 3 and TS Love Stories 6, and Best Trans Series or Channel for My TS Stepmom, TS Girls on Top, and TS Taboo.
The performers in many of his projects scored many nominations where they were able to show their acting chops and on-screen sexual prowess. Tommy Pistol’s stellar acting scored him a Best Leading Actor nod for MissaX’s Under the Veil. Three of Ricky’s female casting choices captured Best Leading Actress nominations: Aiden Ashley for MissaX’s Blue Moon Rising, Ana Foxxx for Adult Time’s Sweet Sweet Sally Mae, and Kenn James for Under the Veil. Steve Holmes was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his work on Under the Veil. Ricky’s female talents dominated the Best Support Actress category with a total of five noms for Brooklyn Gray in Blue Moon Rising, Helena Locke and Charlotte Stokely in Under the Veil, Scarlett Sage for AllHerLuv’s Written in the Stars, and Misty Stone for Sweet Sweet Sally Mae. Three talents in his MissaX films received Best Actor – Featurette, including Nathan Bronson for The Scheme, Tommy Pistol for A Second Chance, and Codey Steel for The Cure. Three incredible women were nominated for Best Actress – Featurette: Elena Koshka for MissaX’s Something Borrowed, Melody Marks for AllHerLuv’s My New Family, and Violet Starr forThe Scheme. In the new category Best Thespian – Trans/X, three stellar performers were nominated: Jenna Gargles for Transensual’s TS Taboo 5, Gracie Jane for Transgressive Films/Transfixed/Adult Time’s Back Where It All Started, and Emma Rose for Transgressive Films/Transfixed/Adult Time’s Old Fashioned Attitude. And David Lorde scored a Best Non-Sex Performance nomination for Blue Moon Rising, as did Isiah Maxwell for Sweet Sweet Sally Mae.
Ricky’s scene work was definitely unparalleled, and his performers scored many AVN nominations. Aiden Ashley and Dante Colle were nommed for Best Boy/Girl Sex Scene for their scene MissaX’s Blue Moon Rising and Mona Wales and Codey Steele were also nommed for MissaX’s The Cure Part 3. Jessie Saint, Natalie Knight, and Codey Steele scored a Best Three-Way Sex Scene nom for their work in The Cure Part 2. Evelyn Claire and Scarlit Scandal were nominated for Best Girl/Girl Sex Scene for AllHerLuv’s The Lesbian Study Part 1. Kenna James, Violet Starr, and April O’Neil were nommed for Best Lesbian Group Sex Scene for AllHerLuv’s Burn So Bright Part 2. Two of Ricky’s trans scenes for Transensual garnered Best Trans One-on-One Sex Scene nods for Foxxy and Aiden Ashley in Hot & Bothered, My TS Stepmom 3, and Natalie Mars and Penny Barber for TS Love Stories 6 Scene 4. And the trio of Jenna Gargles, Izzy Wilde, and Dillon Diaz nabbed a nom for Best Trans Group Sex Scene for TS Girls on Top 5 – Scene 4.
Ricky and team did some incredible BTS work on all his projects this year and they were rewarded with multiple nominations for Best Screenplay for Maddy Barton, Shawn Alff, and Ricky, Best Screenplay – Featurette for Shawn Alff and MissaX, Best Art Direction for Kylie Ireland and Ricky, Best Editing for JessX, MissaX, and Sean Aitch, Best Cinematography for Matt Holder, Best Makeup for Alexxx Moon, Katiusea Rhinestone, and April Nicole, and Best Soundtrack for MissaX.
