The Spanish courts have provisionally dropped charges of reckless manslaughter against male porn performer Nacho Vidal. Vidal has always claimed he was innocent. The decision by the judge to shelve the charges can still be appealed, hence why it’s provisionally dropped, and not completely.
The incident took place on July 28, 2019, in a house belonging to Nacho Vidal.
Jose Luis Abad, a photographer, died after inhaling the venom of a toad that is thought to create a hallucinogenic effect. The toad was a ‘bufo alvarius’ toad, also known as the Colorado River toad, whose venom is a hallucinogen nicknamed ‘Molecule of God.”
Nacho Vidal, who hosted the ritual at his house, was said to be very sad over the death of the man, who inhaled the fumes of the venom, in what he called a “regrettable accident.”
Despite being the one “controlling” the situation, the investigation revealed that he did not measure the amount supplied, failed to anticipate the risks which were involved, and took no precautions.
The judge considers his actions to have been “irrational, reckless and dangerous” and points out that there was no first aid kit or defibrillator in the house, nor did Vidal know how to perform CPR correctly.
