BOSTON – #SexTalkTuesday announced today that Professor Richard Kimberly Heck (@rikiheck) will serve as the special guest moderator of the October 11th edition of the Twitter-based chat show to discuss: “what is the media’s influence on heterosexuality?”
Richard Kimberly Heck is a Professor of Philosophy at Brown University. They have worked in a wide range of areas of philosophy but in the last several years have been working on a cluster of issues concerning sexuality. Heck has published two papers (so far) on pornography, and is currently working on a book on sexual ethics with their former student Rachel Leadon.
Angie Rowntree, founder of Sssh.com and producer of #SexTalkTuesday stated, “We frequently hear the media railing against porn and how damaging it is, so it’s refreshing to take up this topic through a scholarly lense and take a deep dive into this complex and multi-faceted topic.”
