Shortly after the critical and fan accclaim that Primary Season 1 received, director Casey Calvert started brainstorming the story for Primary Season 2 because she is so in love with the characters of the story.

Season 2 is still about polyamory, but it’s also about so much more. It’s about the nature and scope of what a relationship can be, gender identity and the definition of success. It’s about old love and new lust. It’s about human experience.

To Casey, it’s all about the story. She says “I spent my money on time. I spent my money on things that serve the story – extra days to work on performance and character and all the things that motivate the sex in the first place. Time to make sure every scene is lit correctly, shot exactly how I want to see it, while not keeping people on set for more than 12 hours a day. More than half our schedule was dedicated dialogue days.

I want you to feel something when you watch my films, and want what you feel to carry you into the sex in a way that feels necessary and organic. There is no doubt in my mind I accomplished that with Primary 2.

My crew for season 2 were incredible. Everyone just clicked, from Shaun, my gaffer, who’s been in adult for 25 years, to my 1st AC, who — after pulling focus on her first sex scene — realized that she had never watched other people fuck before.

As for the cast, I couldn’t get more dedication out of them if I tried. Everyone showed up on day one ready to work, with questions and character backstories and the kind of input I love, and everyone knocked it out of the park.

Primary 2 is absolutely a labor of love, not just from me, but from all of us. I’m so incredibly proud of how it turned out.

Like its predecessor Season 2 features an all-star cast with Casey Calvert, Victoria Voxxx, Ana Foxxx, Kira Noir, Cam Damage, and Derrick Pierce with a bevy of other great performers to round out each episode.
