Penthouse Comics Makes a Triumphant Return for Valentine’s Day 2024

Thirty years after its original debut, Penthouse proudly announces the relaunch of Penthouse Comics, scheduled for Valentine’s Day 2024. This revamp of the iconic series promises to captivate audiences with an array of genres, including action, thriller, and horror.

The inaugural issue introduces four new ongoing stories, each uniquely enthralling. “Gun Crazy” launches readers into the intense lives of Dolly Sanchez and Lanoya O’Brien, crafted in a style reminiscent of Quentin Tarantino’s films, with a blend of 80s vibes and VHS aesthetics.

Another standout, “The Dream,” drawn by Guillem March and penned by Jean Dufaux, follows Megan, a Hollywood casting director in San Francisco, as she discovers hidden talent in an unexpected place.

Additionally, “I Spit On Your Grave” adapts Vernon Sullivan’s renowned novel into a gritty narrative following Lee Anderson’s quest for revenge and descent into a world of debauchery and sensuality. “Miss October” features a young woman in a race against time to stop a serial killer targeting women by the months of the year.

Alongside these gripping tales, readers can expect a bonus photoshoot and editorial, maintaining the tradition of Penthouse’s engaging content.

The relaunch is spearheaded by Nathan Yocum and Ryan Swanson, founders of Behemoth Comics, who are now partners with Massive Publishing. This revival, in collaboration with Penthouse Global Licensing, marks the 30th anniversary of the original Penthouse Comix.

The legacy of Penthouse Comix is rich, with its origins tracing back to 1994, when it was founded by George Caragonne and Horatio Weisfeld. The magazine, initially part of Penthouse Magazine and later a standalone publication became known for its high page rates and contributions from top artists like Adam Hughes and Kevin Nowlan.

However, the history of Penthouse Comix also includes darker moments, such as the embezzlement accusations against Caragonne and his subsequent suicide in 1995.

The relaunched Penthouse Comix, priced at $9.99, will be a bi-monthly publication, with each 96-page issue featuring an oversized magazine format. The first issue boasts contributions from renowned artists such as Matteo Scalera and Jeff Dekal. The second issue, scheduled for May, will introduce work from Tula Lotay, Jae Lee, and Marguerite Sauvage, among others.

Penthouse Comics’ return is not just a revival but a reimagining of a legendary series, offering a blend of captivating narratives and stunning artwork. As the first issue hits the stands on February 14, 2024, it’s poised to be a Valentine’s Day treat for comic enthusiasts and new readers alike.
