Last year when Mastercard issued new guidelines for sites with adult content, one of the things they encouraged is the use of technology to help solve some of the issues, such as users posting non-acceptable content.

Not only did sites like Pornhub, Sex.com, and OnlyFans implement state-of-the-art AI-driven age verification for users who upload content, but more recently, OnlyFans has also implemented a new piece of AI-driven tech dealing with content uploads.

Now when a user uploads a photo or video, it’s scanned using a piece of fancy artificial intelligence software that can detect with a reasonable amount of accuracy is the photo or video in question includes content that is in violation of their acceptable use policy.

If the software scans the content and finds it is in violation, it automatically removes the content and issues the account holder a notice, letting them know the photo or video was removed.

The problem is, it’s not a perfect system, and on occasion, it will mistakenly remove content that wasn’t a problem.

Let’s look at some content that got flagged by their new system. This is the trailer for a movie called Anything Goes. This is a British movie (from Bluebird Films) that is your typical boy/girl sex that was produced in 2010.

The movie is 6 scenes long. There is no anal or any unusual sex acts. Two of the scenes end in a facial, but this is porn, what scene doesn’t? :) One of the scenes in this movie got flagged and removed. Why? Who knows. There was nothing unusual about the scene. It was a typical boy/girl sex scene. So I had to submit a ticket to ask support for help. It was manually reviewed and restored.

Next, I posted photos from a movie called 24 Hours. This was another Bluebird Films movie and I was confident I did nothing wrong. I’ve been doing this a long time, I know all the rules of what we can and can’t post. Or so I thought. So I submitted another ticket, only to find this time the software didn’t mistakenly flag my content. I was actually in violation.

This movie was made back in 2010 when porno parodies reigned supreme. The movie is about a guy (Steve Holmes) who has 24 hours to live, so he has to make the best of it.

First, he fucks the doctor who tells him the news that he only has 24 hours to live in the first place. 

Next, he goes home to confront his wife who has been cheating on him, and reveals that he knows her secret fantasy is to be with two guys at once. So of course he had to make that dream come true.

Next, he goes to the gym where there are these two hot blondes he’s always lusted after so he seizes the day and fucks them both on the yoga mats. I mean, why not? What does he have to lose?

Now he goes to the office where his boss bitches at him for being two hours late for an important presentation. He’s like you know what? Fuck you. He pulls out a gun and tells his boss and the other lady giving the presentation to get buck ass naked because he’s only got 24 hours to live so he’s going to do whatever he wants and that apparently includes fucking his boss and his co-worker.  They decide you don’t need to tempt us with a good time, we’d love to fuck you. So while they are having a good time, another guy comes in and he joins in and helps Steve fuck the two women. So the threeway becomes a foursome.

Next Steve takes his gun and shows up at a brothel with two hot blondes who he wants to fuck but decides fuck it, I’m not paying for this, you are going to fuck me for free today. They are like Steve you don’t have to do this, we are whores we will fuck you for free today. We love you and want to suck your dick.

And then we come to the final scene, where Steve is confronted by a cop who is looking into a suspicious car outback. He’s like I don’t need this shit I only have 24 hours to live. She’s like I don’t care. You can’t break the law and get away with it, even if you are dying. He steals the cop’s gun, turns it on her, and is like listen I’m going to die tomorrow, I’ll do what I want and that apparently includes her.

She doesn’t put up too much resistance and even seems to like it when he handcuffs her, pulls up her skirt, bends her over, and fucks her doggie style.

So what was the actual violation?

Creepy consent issues aside, the actual violation was the gun. You can bang a sexy cop in the back alley, but the cop can’t pull out her gun, and she most definitely can’t fuck herself with her police stick.

So in this particular case, the AI did its job, detected and flagged the content as a violation.

So why is this wrong? Well, it’s a complicated issue. While porn is not illegal, obscenity is. So to be compliant with federal regulations, OnlyFans has to flag and get rid of obvious things like incest and Beastiality. But banks have their own rules.

And with gun violence on the rise, having guns or weapons of any kind in your content is going to be a violation with OnlyFans.

You also can’t post content with urination, choking, slapping, or pegging. And you can’t pretend like you kidnap someone and make them have sex with you.

These are all violations.

But if you post content and it gets flagged, and you’re sure you did nothing wrong, don’t worry. All you have to do is submit a support ticket, and eventually, they’ll get back to you.

I mean, sure, support is slow, but in time, they will review your content and restore it if, in fact, it’s not actually in violation.

The more this AI is used, the smarter it will get. Eventually, the number of false flags it kicks out will be reduced dramatically.

All of that being said, this new feature isn’t a bad thing. It helps platforms automate a lot of necessary steps in keeping their platform to be in compliance with federal laws and banking regulations.

So keep that in mind if your OnlyFans account gets a red flag from their new AI. It’s frustrating, I know. But it’s all a necessary evil.
