Despite the rumors to the contrary, Riley Reid did not turn her back on porn. In fact, she just posted a picture of her butthole on X (formerly Twitter). Does that sound like retirement or like she left porn? Of course not!

Riley Reid, one of the most well-known figures in the adult industry, recently shared her reasons for stepping back from filming scenes with male performers. The 32-year-old addressed the topic during a candid interview on the What They Don’t Tell You podcast with Jordyn Jones.

Reid, who rose to stardom during the 2010s, revealed that the decision stemmed from the impact of her career on her personal life, particularly her romantic relationships. While not retired from porn, Reid chose to stop participating in “boy-girl” scenes as a personal decision.

When Jones asked about Reid’s dating experiences, the performer described a complicated dynamic shaped by her fame.

“Dating was really hard,” she admitted, noting that her career often led to partners forming an initial perception of her as the on-screen persona of “Riley Reid” rather than her true self.

“Especially as I grew a name for myself, it was hard to meet someone who didn’t know who I was,” Reid said, explaining how potential partners often approached her with preconceived notions based on her public persona. This complicated her efforts to build genuine relationships. “They met me first in their mind as Riley, so it was really hard to reverse and teach them that I’m Ashley,” she added.

Reid also highlighted how her profession often influenced how men treated her in relationships. She mentioned that many partners were hesitant to introduce her to their families, which made her reevaluate her career choices.

After years of facing these challenges, Reid decided to make a significant change in her career. “I didn’t retire, but I just stopped shooting boy-girl porn,” she said. Reid emphasized that the decision was entirely personal, driven by her desire for love, connection, and a more traditional form of companionship. “I was lonely, and I wanted love and affection,” she explained.

Riley Reid got married in 2021 and has since had a baby. It was after her marriage that she made the decision to stop having sex with other men on camera.

The decision, however, was not without its complexities. Reid acknowledged that her line of work created a difficult ultimatum for many of her partners: “I’ve dated guys, and they were like, ‘me or porn.’” Ultimately, she chose to prioritize her emotional well-being over career opportunities, hoping to foster more meaningful and lasting relationships.

Reid has been vocal in the past about her experiences in the adult industry. She has discussed her earnings, the mental health challenges of the profession, and provided advice for aspiring performers. She continues to be an influential figure, both for her past work in adult entertainment and for her ongoing discussions about the personal costs of working in such a high-profile, often stigmatized industry.

But in the end, Riley Reid still very much makes a shit ton of money in porn and gets naked on camera all the time.

So just to be clear, Riley Reid has said time and again, including in her most recent interview she did not retire from porn. She just doesn’t do boy/girl scenes anymore. And yes, she still gets naked on camera.  She still posts naked photos of herself online.
